London’s electro party duo FERAL FIVE will release new 4-track EP MAN CAT DOLL MACHINE this Friday, 31 March. A quite special project as the songs were written
and recorded to soundtrack a Picasso Portraits event in London last January curated
by Martyn Ware (keyboard wizard and founding member of The Human League and Heaven 17). This steamy EP has all firework ingredients to start this week with a bang
and blow this Blue Monday into oblivion. The swirling dance tracks are injected with elevating synths, a powerful disco drive and Kate Five‘s energetic voice to stimulate

THE MOONLANDINGZ, the rattling collective including Sheffield’s electronic weirdos The Eccentronic Research Council and Fat White Family‘s genial outlaws – far out frontman Lias Saoudi aka Johnny Rocket and mental guitarist Saul Adamczewski – have their debut album INTERPLANETARY CLASS CLASSICS out today. Co-produced by Sean Lennon at his New York studio it features Ross Orton (drums), Mairead O’Connor (bass), as well as guest appearances from Randy Jones (the Cowboy from, yes, The Village People), Rebecca Taylor from Slow Club, The Human League‘s frontman Phil Oakey and, last but not least, Yoko
Ono, who howls freakishly on the LP’s brilliant closer ‘This Cities Undone’. A truly special record to soundtrack the apocalyptic future ahead of us while dancing madly and out
of our minds. The most intriguing and adventurous LP so far this year. On repeat…

British shoegaze legends RIDE returned two years ago, after breaking up in 1996, for a series of live shows. Now they’re ready to release brand new album ‘Weather Diaries.
It will be out on 16 June via Wichita Recordings. “It will sound equal parts Motörhead
and William Basinski” joked the band while recording. First single CHARM ASSAULT was already lauched a few weeks ago. A pulsating cracker colored with glimmering guitars, driven by pounding drums and spiced with an energetic chorus. Now they shared
an eye-cacthing psych clip for the song. Roll the tape and get dizzy…

“Skinner’s debut is an excellent listen, much better than the heavy-handed hype would make you think. Unlike most garage LPs, it’s certainly not a substitute for a night out. It’s more a statement on modern-day British youth, complete with all the references to Playstations, Indian takeaway, and copious amounts of cannabis you’d expect.”

“One-man MC/DJ package Mike Skinner has an obvious talent for forging damn sharp hip-pop hooks that supercede his inherent verbal handicap. Given the fact that it does, eventually, manage to overcome the horrific-sounding concept of British hip-hop, it seems pretty reasonable to give it a recommendation. Bloody good show, I say.”
