GREAT SONG LINES… From ’HUMAN FLY’ By Garage Legends THE CRAMPS

From the brilliant HUMAN FLY track by THE CRAMPS
(Appeared for the first time on their Gravest Hits EP)

Well I’m a human fly
I spell (it) F, L, Y
I say buzz, buzz, buzz and it’s just because…
I’m a human fly and I don’t know why
I got ninety six tears in my ninety six eyes
I got a garbage brain, it’s drivin’ me insane
And I don’t like your ride, so push that pesticide
And baby I won’t care, ’cause baby I don’t scare
‘Cause I’m a reborn maggot using germ warfare, rockin’
Zzzzz…

I’m a human fly
It’s spelt F-L-Y
I say buzz, buzz, buzz and it’s just because…
I’m a unzipped fly and I don’t know why
And I don’t know, but I say

Buzz…ride tonight
And I say buzz…rocket ride
And I say buzz…I don’t know why
I don’t know I just, don’t know why

LIAM GALLAGHER Drops Another Track From New Solo LP – Here’s ‘THE RIVER’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

LIAM GALLAGHER is mad for it (and he always will be). But not in the hedonistic teenage ‘let’s get wasted’ way as 25 years ago. He still rocks, he still rolls but he also cares about what is going on today for his family, for his older self and for humanity overall. He speaks out about the idiocy of Brexit, about the evil sides of social media for kids and about other important issues you would never have expected coming from this “tonight I’m a rock ‘n’ roll star” party animal.

His second solo LP, entitled ‘WHY ME, WHY NOT‘ will hit the streets on 20th September. The man says about it: “I want this second album to be a step-up, because the hardest thing to do is to make something the same, only better. So that’s what we’ve done. It’s a better record than ‘As You Were’. Which is saying something, as that was epic, wasn’t it?”

After sharing ace lead single ‘Shockwave‘ here’s corker number two called ‘THE RIVER’ .
A swaggering Liam rocker. Turn it up here, folks, Liam is showing the way…

THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Released Debut LP ‘FREAK OUT!’ 53 Years Ago Today…

History

27 June 2019

freak

Today 53 years ago, on 27 June 1966, the late great eccentric FRANK ZAPPA and his erratic band THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION released (double) debut album FREAK OUT!. Often named as one of rock music’s first concept albums it was also one of the first double ones. The record was Zappa‘s satirical perception of the American pop culture at the time and of the nascent freak scene of Los Angeles. It meant also the start of the virtuoso’s spectacular and astounding career.

KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD Drop Another Metal Uppercut From New LP – Here’s ‘FARMER SONG’…

Brand new sonic impulses

The hardest working band in music KING GIZZARD AND THE LIZARD WIZARD will launch another new album called INFEST THE RAT’S NEST, their second LP this year after Fishing For Fishies and 5 longplayers last year. After only seven years the Melbourne psych-o-rock-delic gang have produced 15 albums!

The weirdo Aussie noiseniks announced that the new record will be a heavy metal one. Today the gang already dropped the third cut. ORGAN FARMER is a horror-ific trashy metallic noise jackhammer to go totally apeshit to. Hold your breath, here’s the accompanying bloody wacko psycho clip…

Los Angeles pop tandem SHIPS HAVE SAILED share their common appetite for writing appealing songs with a balance between exuberant pop and substantial alternative rock since 2013.

After a series of singles and a couple of EPs the pair is back now with a homage to a special person. ‘STAY‘ is a grateful ode to “that one person who you know you can count on no matter what”. I sure hope that all of us have someone to fall back on in troubled times and for whom this tender humdinger will be a wholehearted invitation to stay.

Feel the love right here…

THE BYRDS – No 1 Hit In The USA With MR. TAMBOURINE MAN On 26 June 1966…

Knockouts from the past

26 June 2019

thebyrds

Today 53 years ago, on 26 June 1966, the legendary harmonious Americana choir THE BYRDS scored their first USA number one hit with a cover of BOB DYLAN‘s topper MR. TAMBOURINE MAN (which appeared on his excellent Bringing It All Back Home LP).
The song also peaked on the UK Singles Chart a few weeks later. The Byrds turned the eternal troubadour’s acoustic version into an electrifying classic with jingle jangle guitars as suggested by Dylan’s lyric: “in the jingle jangle morning I’ll come following you”.

Here’s the man…
