TOM VERLAINE (real name: Thomas Miller) was born in Morristown, New Jersey, on
13 December 1949. Happy 70! He’s best known as the frontman/guitarist/songwriter
of the legendary New York City based band TELEVISION. Their 1977 debut album MARQUEE MOON was the landmark longplayer of the late 70s post-punk era that
definitely changed alternative guitar rock music. Television split after two albums but reunited in 1992 for their third and final LP. Verlaine had also a productive solo career
with 10 albums between 1979 and 2006 and collaborated with countless artists.
