Band: BLOSSOMS
Who: Guitar pop combo from Greater Manchester, UK
Formed: in 2013 / 4 studio LPs (new one incl.)

New album: RIBBON AROUND THE BOMB
Released: 29 April – order info here

NME says: “It’s a coming-of-age moment for the band, and there’s no question
Blossoms have levelled up with this release, sealing their status as giants of the
game with more earnest and open songwriting. Whatever this Stockport gang
do next, they won’t falter as long as they do it in their own indelible and charming
way.”

Turn Up The Volume: Finally, after 3 albums, this modern-day boys band
comes up with a series of sugary, juicy, and sunlit tunes to back up the – not
always reliable – British press hype. Cheesy or not, if simple pop ditties such
as Ode To NYC / Ribbon Around The Bomb / Everything About You / Edith Machinist,
turn up on the radio it’s whistle along time. Blossoms is a light version of Liverpool
legends The La’s. Many girls’ hearts beat faster these days.
