Gripping American singer-songwriter BILL CAHALLAN started his career under
his alias of Smog. From 2008 on he operates under his Christian name. Overall
he made 19 albums and number 20 is on its way. It’s named YTI⅃AƎЯ.

Callahan: “I wanted to make a record that addressed or reflected the current climate.
It felt like it was necessary to rouse people — rouse their love, their kindness, their anger,
rouse anything in them. Get their senses working again. I guess there was already plenty of anger! But we needed a better anger. To get out of this hypnagogic state. We were born to feed others. We have milk, breasts. We have language, tongues. We have music, ears. All to feed.”

Who: American doo-wop group from Philadelphia that
scored several hits in their short career (1959-1962).

Bass player Allen Johnson was the voice who started the song with the legendary line “Bomp-Baba-Bomp-Ba-Bomp-Ba-Bomp-Bomp-Vedanga-Bang-Bang-Vadinga-Bong-Ding”. He died today in 1995 from cancer, only 55. Rest in peace.

Single: BLUE MOON
It was a love ballad written by Connee Boswell

London-born GRAHAM PARKER is one of those rare singer/songwriters who, throughout his whole career put passion and energy in all of his work. Of course, it helps when you’re born with a most affectingly soul-stirring voice, but to use that gift every single time for every single song with ardent dedication and avid devotion is, as said, a rare affair.

Heart & soul songsmith/performer

Parker, now 71, has released (with his band The Rumour and solo) a huge amount
of studio, live, and compilation LPs. Picking only 10 of his gems looks like a hard job.

weeks ago.

10LP super deluxe set that offers all six studio albums – Blondie, Plastic Letters, Parallel Lines, Eat To The Beat, Autoamerican and The Hunter – and includes four additional LPs of session outtakes, B-sides, and demos. These rarities are titled ‘Plaza Sound’, ‘Parallel Beats’, ‘Coca Cola’, ‘Home Tapes’. This vinyl box comes with a bonus 10-inch of outtakes called ‘Out In The Streets’ and a seven-inch single featuring the band’s cover of The Doors’ ‘Moonlight Drive’ and demo of ‘Mr. Sightseer’. In total, it contains 124 studio tracks.

BECK Covers ‘OLD MAN’ For NLF Commercial – NEIL YOUNG Is Not Happy

Beck covered Neil Young‘s 1972 classic
Old Man with a tender acoustic take.

Beck‘s performance was destined to be used in a commercial to
promote this Sunday’s NLF (National Football League) game with
the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on
the Sunday Night Football broadcast.

Neil Young who never ever gave permission to use any of his songs for
commercial advertising, in any way, is not so happy with Beck’s move, as
he showed with a picture, without a caption, on his Instagram account.
