Rolling Stones classics, planned for a few years and finally made it happen
this year.

– A SONG FOR LEON –
Musical Nashville legend Leon Russell, born
Claude Russell Bridge in 1942, passed away in
2016, at the age of 74.
To honor the genial, eccentric looking artist,
a 10-track tribute LP came out last September.
It includes great performances from artists such as Orville Peck,
Nathaniel Rateliff, Leon’s daughter Tina Rose, Amy Nelson (Willie
Nelson‘s daughter), Bootsy Collins, and more.

Folk legend Nick Drake (1948-1974) was, still is, an inspiration for many singer-songwriters. He recorded/released three grand albums. The troubled songsmith died following an overdose of amitriptyline, an antidepressant, aged only 26.

Boston’s Celtic punk gang Dropkick Murphys Have released their 2nd tribute LP for working-class folk hero Woody Guthrie (1912-1967) this year, following the first one in 2021, named This Guitar Kills Fascists.
The lyrics come from Guthrie the music is by Dropkick Murphys.
It’s another vintage Celtic punk rock party album.
