Boston‘s EBM explorers VIOLET NOX Dez DeCarlo (synth, effect pedals,
vocal samples), and Andrew Abrahamson (synthesis, samples and clocked
machines) released their notable 6th full-length, titled Vortex And Voices
last year. It features new singer Noell Dorsey. You can stream it below.

Now, one of the album’s bewitching tracks, called VARDA is
remixed by musician J. Bagist from the label Property Materials,
co-run with Deb Step.

Bagist turned Varda into a slow-moving ambient trip-hop symphony.
The darkest moments of Massive Attack come to mind. Shadowy,
hallucinatory and en-trance-ing. Listen below.
