SNÕÕPER, the 5-piece trash-and-slash pop-punk squad from Nashville, TN
unleashed their unbridled debut LP Super Snõõper last summer. A peppy
blitzkrieg punk record. 14 songs in 22 minutes, like in the good old Ramones
days.
Since then, they released a couple of singles and played countless gigs.
And they will do a bunch more in North America, with some befriended
bands (dates below).
For the occasion, they shoot off another projectile towards
our ears, propelled by insane bass play, and titled RELAY.

Folktronica sister duo COCOROSIE – Sierra Rose Rosie” and Bianca Leilani “Coco” Casady – celebrate their 20th year in music as well as the start of an new era. They’re in the studio right now.
To start the festivities they dropped
a new piece, called LEAST I HAVE YOU
Coco: “It came just in a simple way. It’s vulnerable. It’s cute. It’s cliche.
It’s all these things I don’t think we would have been able to approach
in the past.”
Rosie: “Up until this song, we used to take our pain out on each other.
Until we allowed our sisterhood to become the antidote to the damage
that came in our younger years.”
Press: The song’s musical arc mirrors the sisters’ relationship: it begins
combatively, with the sound of gun-toting guitar squalls and beats like
Street Fighter punches, before leveling out into tentative euphoria,
cautiously crawling towards the ecstatic union of that chorus.

Brighton‘s post-punk dropouts DITZ fabricated the best debut album of 2022, according to Turn Up The Volume’s ears, with their blaze & rage LP THE GREAT REGRESSION. Since then the band are on a non-stop tour.
And the tour will go on and on, as the turbulent bohemians just announced their sophomore LP. It’s named NEVER EXHALE. It’ll show up 25 January 2025.

Press info: Never exhale’ is the sound of a band that hasn’t stopped for a breath. DITZ have toured relentlessly since the release of their first album ‘The Great Regression’. The songs that form their newest offering were written across Europe, often on off days and in borrowed rehearsal rooms. It could be said that the band treat recording and release of music as an afterthought. Often playing songs live years before their release, tweaking them as they go. The songs on the final record may change before they are ever heard as part of the album.”

C.A. Francis (charismatic voice/face) about first single SPACE/SMILE: ‘I feel like Space/Smile is pretty unique within the album. It’s the shortest track by a fair margin. We’ve kind of become known for using dynamic shifts to create drama in our music and with this track we tried to avoid it. It’s all about the escalation.’
SPACE/SMILE is a slash/trash stormer, pushed by fulminating percussion, fierce guitars and Francis spitting and sneering, fueled by his three lungs, without breathing, for 108 seconds. DITZ is a mean raging machine. Helter-skelter!

rants. He canned 12 LPs between 1996 and 2024. His latest The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is not one of his best records.

along on tour.
On I Wanna Be A Hipster DSR I hear some hopped-up similarities. Post-punk madness on speed, hyperkinetic dance dynamics, a mental sax here and there, agitated vocals and an overall what-the-fuck-is-going-on-here turmoil. This no arty-farty baloney, folks.
