English symphonic hard rock titans DEEP PURPLE scored big time with their 4th LP
DEEP PURPLE IN ROCK, released 55 years ago today, on 3 June 1970. It featured their most famous line-up with Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Ian Gillan (vocals) Roger Glover (bass), Jon Lord (organ) and Ian Paice (drums). The album went #1 in Australia and Germany,
#4 in the UK, #143 in America.
