PINK FLOYD’s psychological, musical, surrealist drama film, named THE WALL,
and directed by Alan Parker premiered in London on 14 July 1984, today 41 years
ago.

David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Nick Mason attended the event, alongside Pete Townshend, Sting, and Queen’s Roger Taylor, and many other celebs. The movie, which starred musician Bob Geldof (The Boomtown Rats, blended live-action with animation,
and was based on Pink Floyd’s hit 1979 LP of the same name. It became a box office success on both sides of the Atlantic.
