resilience, and the courage to move on.It’s a tribute to everyone who has
ever had to fight, or is still fighting today.

After the sudden loss of my mother, I found myself in a dark and difficult period.
This song is not only my way of processing that grief, but also a message of hope,
that even in the deepest pain, the strength to carry on remains somewhere.”

TUTV: Feverish passion, liberating catharsis and intense sadness led to this towering guitar-infused belter. The 2nd Of July is an overwhelming wall-of-sound outburst to help process an awful loss. Losing your mother causes indelible heartache, unfortunately, familiar to many among us.

We all now that music can be a healing force, which we experience here once again. Vocalist/songwriter Bart Smet also seems to look for pain-relieving solace through this soul-stirring, sonic cry-out. His sky-scraping vocality causes goosebumps. The overall fervency of this debut is sterling, just sterling.

their new album baptized Love Chant , the first with original, new Lemonheads music

TUTV: The fact that em>Dando and his Lemonheads have a new album, after all these years, out is surprising, but it’s even more surprising that it’s a crackerjack one. Clean Dando has obviously refound his 90s appetite for creating enthralling pop music and
he eagerly wants it to share with us; from the get-go.

The 4 first tracks’ swift and jaunty flow, catchy melodiousness, rollicking guitar
exuberance and peppy vocals set the record’s reborn tone. Dando has resurrected himself and his band gloriously. Now and then he touches turbulent memories from the past and does some soul-searching again, but you can feel he’s truly happy, healthy and excited to be here in great artistic shape.

Not one dull moment. Mind you, it’s not masterpiece, rather
a welcome reaffirmation of The Lemonheads‘ riveting pop

Ear-piercing metal big shots MOTÖRHEAD (1975-2015) fronted by
rock maniac Lemmy (1945-2015) released their mammoth classic
ACE OF SPADES on 27 October 1980, 45 years ago today.

It hit the UK charts on 3 different occasions (first release, re-release,
and after the death of Lemmy in 2015, and sold more than 400.000
copies over the years.

On this day AOS gained more than
536 million streams on Spotify.

It featured on their
4th, same-titled, LP.

Lemmy about the lyrics: “I used gambling metaphors, mostly
cards and dice, when it comes to that sort of thing, I’m more into
the one-arm bandits actually, but you can’t really sing about
spinning fruit, and the wheels coming down”.

Legend TODD RUNDGREN’s Voice Starred In BRUSSELS

Pennsylvania‘s musical big shot TODD RUNGREN , aged 77 now,
had a remarkable career, with the mid-60s/70s and the 80s as his
most productive, creative and successful decades.

He excelled in blending prog-rock, jazz, electronica
and psychedelic pop into a rich multi-layered sound.

He was a member of experimental band Nazz between 1967
and 1969, and his own band Utopia from 1973 until 1976.

He had his greatest output as a solo artist, with a total of
27 LPs (so far) with Space Force as the most recent one,
released in 2022.

Last week, he landed in Europe for a handful of gigs. I caught him in Brussels.
It felt both weird and special to see this musical icon (for my first time) in a
small 450-capacity club called Le Botanique.

Nostalgia ruled. Rundgren‘s set was a greatest hits one, mostly solo ones,
but also a couple of Nazz and Utopia rockers. It was quickly clear that the legend
only came to perform and entertain us all with his music, not with interactions
with the public in between or during songs. He didn’t want to lose his firm grip
on his 2 hour+ extravaganza show.

Also he needed his supreme voice all the way through to sing. Yes, his all-around
impressive voice was the indisputable star of the galvanizing night. Prodigious, really
prodigious vocal cords. He rarely took up his guitar, and when he did he didn’t lost
himself in endless solos (which I expected a bit). His 5-man strong seasoned backing
band took care of the songs’ insatiable pop and rock puissance. Wholly solid.

Then again, the most gripping highlight was the a capella rendition of the sailor
shanty-like pearl Home Of Work (from his 1985 LP A Capella, yes, all voice, stupendous record). Along with the bassist and guitarist, Rundgren silenced the audience completely venue, you could hear a needle drop. Astounding tour de force. Astounding concert overall.

Press info: Alain Quateau, once a member of The Paranoid Polaroids, decided one day to build his own studio. As a producer, he had the pleasure of working with many bands and talented artists, but one encounter left a lasting impression: the one with Renilde Gees.

Now, thirty years later, she unexpectedly contacted him again to record some tracks.
He knew immediately that he had found a kindred spirit in her. The name Lost in September refers to their shared love of melancholy and imagination.

A couple of weeks ago the duo launched their magnific debut single
Dreams. An endearing, heartrending and sepia-coloured musing.

And the follow-up just hit our headphones. WHAT IF I TOLD YOU is an equally soothing reverie, a reflective song “about slowing down. About realizing that happiness often hides in memories.

Queen Elizabeth II honored The Beatles with their MBE‘s medals
(Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) – at Buckingham Palace.

According to an account by John Lennon the group smoked marijuana in one of the palace bathrooms to calm their nerves. Many former recipients gave their MBE’s back in protest, to which John Lennon responded: “Lots of people who complained about us receiving the MBE received theirs for heroism in the war, for killing people. We received ours for entertaining other people. I’d say we deserve ours more.”

On 26 October 1970, that’s 55 years ago today, superstar ELTON JOHN ,
born Reginald Kenneth Dwight 78 years ago, released one of his greatest
hits with YOUR SONG (more than 1,110 billion streams on Sportify).

It was written by John and his longtime lyricist partner Bernie Taupin.
It was his first international hit. #4 in the UK, #6 in Canada and Top-10
in several other countries.

In the US the song was released as the B-side to Take Me To The Pilot.
Radio’s played Your Song way more than the actual A-side and it went to
#8 on the charts. Both tracks featured on his 2nd LP ‘Elton John‘.
