Famous British guitar-synth pop combo PULP scored
one of their biggest hits with swirling single DISCO 2000.

in his youth but could never impress.

It was part of their most successful album Different Class.

It went to #7 in the UK and earned top-10 spots in several
other countries. Almost 150 million streams on Spotify.

“Oh, we were born within an hour of each other
Our mothers said we could be sister and brother
Your name is Deborah, Deborah
It never suited ya
And they said that when we grew up
We’d get married and never split up
Oh, we never did it
Although I often thought of it

the US, 3 days later in the UK.

the music of mountain tops and vast horizons
.”

Cork‘s thrilling Cliffords are another fast up-and-coming, hungry outfit.

Daily electricity to load your batteries

26 November 2025

Artist: WHERE WE SLEEP
Who: The musical project of British songstress Beth Rettig started to realise her musical vision, and to experiment and express a deeply personal and poetic vision, following her previous collaboration in Blindness, signed to AC30 Records, and performing with the likes of Lene Lovitch, and Viv Albertine.

Track: HEADLONG

“The song is about escape from an absolutely chaotic black hole, about a realisation
and awareness you need to extricate yourself from a situation, and take back control.”

Single artwork

TUTV: Rettig takes you on a speedy and mysterious ride through the night,
away from reality, into her fantasy. She’s in control behind the wheel; we
are only onlookers with no idea of her destination. Does she?

Distorted, shoegazy guitars accompany her. Uncanny drums dictate the beat.
Stressed vocals strengthen the sinister fever even more. Think 90s duo Curve,
fronted by the enigmatic Toni Halliday. Be ready for a chilling trip into darkness.

band’s styles, heavily blues-influenced songs power chord-driven hits.

The longplayer’s title is a mocking reference to the notorious reputation
the group had developed over the previous year, including onstage fights
