MADAME SO Reflects On The Dangers Of ‘PEER PRESSURE’ On Her New Towering Belter

Daily electricity to load your batteries

25 November 2025

Artist: MADAME SO
Who: London-based
indie songstress.

Track: PEER PRESSURE

Press info: Blending shoegaze textures, dream-pop atmosphere, and confessional lyricism, Peer Pressure explores non-conformity in a world obsessed with fitting in,
from marriage and career expectations to the quiet social cues we absorb daily.

The refrain “I feel peer pressure, I don’t know why / I feel peer pressure, I wanna hide”
captures both its vulnerability and defiance.

TUTV: Thematically Peer Pressure is not a happy song. It’s a reflection on
one of the sad signs of these (and all) times. Musically, it’s a towering and
high-powered belter, with an anxious tension looming all over it.

Madame So‘s introspective vocals emphasize the song’s doubts and
confusion. A firm follow-up to last summer’s gloomy single Sick Of It All.

DITZ – 5 Reasons Why Brighton’s Armageddon Misfits Are One Of The Best Live Bands Of The Past Decade

25 November 2025

Last Sunday Brighton‘s noizz sensation DITZ landed in my hometown of
Ghent, Belgium. The tenth time I witnessed their Dante Inferno exploits.

I’ll give you 5 reasons why DITZ are one of
the best live bands of the past decade.

1. Their live wall-of-trash-and-crash sound breaks every decibels-level law.
It’s beyond aural belief, but also scary, earth-shattering, and balls-and-brain
breaking. Don’t you love it when you can feel music really physically as if your
body gets electrocuted? I do. It makes me feel much livelier than just being
alive.

2. The demonic guitar duo of Anton Mocock and Jack Looker produce
an amount of kick-ass electricity that make roofs/walls of venues tremble.
Their non-stop chainsaw riff are fucking ace.

3. The rhythm section of Sam Evans and Caleb Remnant batters with
a Herculean vehemence. Ideal for an Armageddon battle of bands.
Hallelujah.

4. They’re big fans of Fugazi, At The Drive-In, Metz, Flipper, Black Flag
and other mean noise motherfuckers. All bands I dig too.

5. Last but not least there’s the psychotic vox and venue-filling presence of
Cal Francis (they/them). They rant, they stare, they’re charismatic off and on
stage, they are a bugaboo in Kate Moss disguise; and they are the perfect
she-devil to front this devilish band of maniacal misfits.

Mind you, without their mindfucking hullabaloo
it would be probably a whole different story.

At the start of this year they launched their 2nd LP,
titled Never Exhale one of the most baffling records I heard in a long time.

.
And their newest single is a nightmarish anti-AI jam.

THE SEEKERS Topped The UK Singles Charts With Tearjerker ‘THE CARNIVAL IS OVER’ 60 Years Ago Today

Top singles from the past

25 November 2025

Legendary pop band THE SEEKERS topped the UK Singles Chart
with their melancholic ballad THE CARNIVAL IS OVER, the group’s
second No.1.

Originally a Russian folk song from 1883 with lyrics written by Tom Springfield,
the brother of famous songstress Dusty Springfield. At its peak, the song was
selling 93,000 copies per day.

The song became The Seekers‘ signature recording, and the band
customarily closed their concerts, saying “Goodbye” to the audience
with it ever since its success in late 1965.

“Say goodbye, my own true lover
As we sing a lovers’ song
How it breaks my heart to leave you
Now the carnival is gone

A musical collective drawn from mutual inspirations and a desire to create freely

death march brass to motorik drum machines, vocal interplay, and post-rock build-ups.

Ben Hillier is a record producer, mixer, songwriter and musician
who has worked with many internationally acclaimed artists during
his 30-year-long career.

Danielle Perry is a national radio broadcaster and part of the
Mercury Music Prize panel. She studied orchestration and the

Track: FLOWERS

Presley: ‘I wrote the lyrics for ‘Flowers’ after seeing a friend in the street who had just parted ways with his partner. Moments later, I saw the ex-girlfriend with her new man, looking very much in the throes of the early days of any new relationship. “

TUTV: Creepy. Confronting. Chilling. These are the keywords for this shocking piece of intimidating Lynch-esque music. Cold-hearted spoken-word vocals add to the sinister resonance of the track. Think of the darkest moments of Dirty Three. This eruptive mindfucker will haunt you all day long.

PULP Covers JOHNNY CASH With ‘THE MAN COMES AROUND’

British pop titans PULP returned this year with their 8th LP
baptized More, their 1st in 24 years (lazy common people).

Now they have shared an almost full spoken-word version – frontman
Jarvis Cocker sounds somehow scary – of Johnny Cash‘s 2002 title track
THE MAN’S COMES AROUND, from his American IV: The Man Comes
Around
album.

It was especially recorded for British TV drama series The Hack,
which documents the 2011 phone hacking scandal that led to
the closing of the gutter newspaper The News of the World.

UKofA – British One-Man Band Hits You Hard With New Non-Stop Sonic Uppercut ‘WATCHTOWER’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

24 November 2025

Artist: UKofA
Who: The musical moniker of seasoned British musician and songwriter John MacKenzie who shared stages with rock legends such as Foo Fighters and Slash with his previous band Hawk Eyes, and has now branched into more experimental territory with this solo project, with influences ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Wu Tang Clan.

Track: WATCHTOWER
Newest single from his upcoming album,
called Mister Oblivion, on 12th December.

“The song is a challenge to our leaders, those people who’ll give anything just to get to the top of the pile. Well, now you’ve got there, and there are people relying on you, what are you going to do? It began, as these things often do, with me noodling on an instrument that I’m not that good at. In this case, it was an old family piano… After having it tuned and sweeping out the mouse droppings, it sounded pretty good!”

TUTV: Boom boom boom boom. Watchtower hits your head relentlessly like a merciless sledgehammer. Its boisterous beats bang non-stop, but there’s more to this unwearying uppercut. Frolicsome piano play goes upstream against the sonic flow, derailed guitar riffs creep in, now and then, and on top comes MacKenzie disturbed vocals.

A lot of shaking stuff is happening simultaneously. After a couple of spins, it all
makes sense, or doesn’t it? Check for yourself. Get baffled. Right. Here. And. Now.
