Glory Black isn’t cheery music whatsoever. It’s a pitch-dark jam coming from
2 gloomy minds who look like monks who escaped from the film set of 1986
movie The Name Of The Rose with Sean O’Coonery.

London‘s musician/singer-songwriterGARY NUMAN was
born, named Gary Anthony James Webb 67 years ago.
He started his impressive career in 1976 with his band Tubeway Army. After 2 LPs Numan wanted to break
free and went solo.
Now after 19 albums, with Intruder from 2021 as the most recent one and
countless tours the man still wants to electrify his numerous loyal fans, called Numanoids.
The record jumped to No. 1 on 14 January 1996, today 30 years ago,
for 10 weeks. The album sold a record breaking 345,000 copies in
its first week and stayed in the charts for a phenomenal 145 weeks.
It also led to the band’s breakthrough in the US, reaching #4
on the Billboard 200 and being certified 4× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Rolling Stone Magazine wrote: “What’s the Story is more than a natural
progression, it’s a bold leap forward that displays significant musical and
personal growth. Tension and instability have been inherent traits of great
rock teams. For Oasis, the addition of shared genes gives their songs extra
impact and dimension.”
TUTV: I saw Oasis 28 times (so far), including Wembley Stadion, London, on August 3. I guess
I’m a fan.

Noel Gallagher: “Those songs are just a privilege to be a part of. It’s like when
you do great gigs, you come off stage and say well it was a privilege to be at that
gig, regardless of my part in it. ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Don’t Look Back’ and ‘Champagne
Supernova’ when I play them sometimes I think ‘wow it is a privilege to be a part
of this.”
Liam Gallagher at the time: “Without my voice he’d still be ironing
Clint Boons knickers.” A reference to Noel’s past as a roadie for Inspiral Carpets.

Slacker rock champs PAVEMENT formed in Stockton, California in
1989 and became one of the most compelling indie bands of the 90s.
After 5 albums, they split up in 1999.
Ten years later, in 2019, they announced a couple of reunion shows, but
Covid prevented that. Eventually, at the end of 2022, they played shows
in Europe and America and then just flew around the world into 2024.
And the Pavement virus didn’t go away.
In September 2024, a musical biopic concert
film, titled Pavementscame out.
And the band is now ready again to do some
shows in North America next summer.
Who: Vociferious and enigmatic noiz rock duo from Richmond, Virginia.
They released their debut longplayer Suffering Time in 2023.
Track: COOKED
Their first new music of 2026. Harbinger for
their 2nd LP, titled Die Hard, out on May 1st.

TUTV: Holy shit! Cooked cooks you to the bone. It’s a jaw-dropping noiz blow-out that crushes your stereo into pieces. You risk being arrested by the anti-decibel police when you play this jagged juggernaut too loud. Now get up, stand up, and fight for your right
to bash your head against your bedroom wall.
Last June The National‘s twilight crooner MATT BERNINGER
released his 2nd solo album, named Get Sunk and than hit the
road to promote the record.
At those concerts, he regulary played his pretty rockin’ version
of New Order ‘s 1988 knockout discofloor filler BLUE MONDAY.
(More than 511 million streams on Spotify).
He recorded it and shared it as his first music of 2026.
