Who: No wave post-punk crew from LA via Louisville.
Actually, seasoned multi-hyphenate artist Andrew Sellers
and his longtime collaborators.

They released their debut album Debt Forever last year.

TUTV: Rowdy riffage dominates this red-hot-blooded sucker-punch, assisted
by a ruthless rhythm section going apeshit now and then, a schizo sax in the
back, and an agitated vocalist. All together they produce a kind of filthy groovin’
hullabaloo.

Australian rock/pop heroes MEN AT WORK (1978–1986, 1996–2002, 2019–present)
scored their biggest hit with DOWN UNDER (more than 1,115 billion streams on Spotify).

It topped both the UK and the US charts this day 45 years ago, on 29 January 1981.
It was also #1 in Canada, Australia, New-Zealand and some European countries.

The lyrics depict an Australian man travelling the globe
meeting people who are interested in his home country.

Who: Seasoned, busy singer-songwriter, record label owner,
member of a couple of bands, from Philly. He has 5 solo LPs
under his belt.

O’Leary just dropped a track called MARILYN. A folky piece
from an upcoming 6-track EP Proof Enough, out February 25.

O’Leary: “It’s a six-part family drama blurring personal biography and fiction.”
With that info, the artwork of the EP is a clear reference.

Deap Vally, who made stormy waves from 2001 to 2024.

2nd solo single following her bewitching
debut I’ve Seen The Wild Trees.

Troy: “I wrote this song, and I cried for two days straight when I wrote it. Good tears.
Tears of empathy and healing. ‘Love is Deeper’ is a song about deep, unconditional
love. About intergenerational trauma and complex family dynamics.

I sing about sacred childhood memories that are the backdrop of
my life, the blissful memories of my youth that I hold so dear.

But I also sing about painful memories that are part of my life’s mural. This song is about the reverberating impact of mental illness on a family. About blood being thicker than pain. About empathy. About saying my piece and letting go of my anger to forgive and heal.”

TUTV: Love Is Deeper is a sad story set to a mid-tempo corker of a song, spiked with
distorted guitars that seem to accentuate the raw pain. Troy‘s deely felt vocals star in
the middle. You can really feel the heavyhearted emotions at play.

A genuine tearjerker.

As a first-hour Deap Vally fan it’s amazing to see
Lindsey Troy back in action in a truly heart-and-soul
stirring way.

SPRINTS – Heated Irish Turbine Cover KATHLEEN HANNA’s Punk Pop Trio LE TIGRE On Their Way To AMERICA

Heated Irish punk rock turbine released their
smashing 2nd LP titled All That Is Over.

They’re going mental now on tour.

America is the next stop, starting this Thursday in the horribly
ICE attacked Minneapolis. For the occasion they covered a song
by bikini kill shero Katleen Hanna‘s trio Le Tigre (1998-2007).

They picked the awesome single DECEPTACON (more than 386 million
streams on Spotify) from Le Tigre’s self-titled debut LP and gave it their
boiling treatment.

Karla Chubb (singer/guitarist): “”I’m not sure there’s a woman in the world who plays guitar that hasn’t been inspired by Kathleen Hanna. ‘Deceptacon’ is a dance-punk classic, a constant in the tour van, and a cover we used to throw into festival sets for fun. What better way to mark our return to the States and honour our love of US punk than to release our little rendition of ‘Deceptacon.'”
