JUKEBOX 2026 – WEEK 5 – Five New Rad Tracks Added Twice A Week
Probably the only playlist that matters
Another year, another Jukebox to fill with new
tracks, 5 twice a week, for your aural pleasure.
This is the 7th batch of 5 new rad ones of 2026.
ALL TOGETHER
TRACK BY TRACK
Band: DEAD DADS CLUB
Who: New project of Chilli Jesson who was the frontman of
former British guitar pop group Palma Violets (2011-2016).
Track: THAT’S LIFE
Piece from their most gripping,
brand new self-titled debut LP.
TUTV: This mid-tempo, guitar power pop anthem’s intensity is astonishing.
Inflamed emotions, galvanic outpouring, deep-felt vocals. Formidable performance.
This is what’s sonic life is about.
Goosebumps.

Band: THE FAIR ATTEMPTS
Who: A dystopian force – Timo Haakana and his wife Starwing – from Finland who merge raw, driving rhythms with haunting melodies, exploring the human condition in a future where technology, control, and alienation intertwine.
Track: GHOST WITHIN
“Ghost Within” examines the internal monsters: negative self-talk, doubts, pride before collapse, and the subtle ways the human mind feeds on its own fear. The song portrays self-awareness as a mirror maze, where reflection offers no clear exit.
TUTV: This pumping, new-wavish synth stomper causes head spins from the kick-off.
Ghost Within sticks immediately with its orchestral melodrama, darksome goth echoes, stirring vocals and high-octane chorus.
Slam-bang.

Artists: SKYRACER
Who: British synth-wave
rock duo from Sheffield.
Track: LAST TOKEN
Their 8th single.
TUTV: Synth-rock pandemonium with industrial NIN droning. Heavy-duty electropunk to sway yourself dizzy to. Last Token never loses its persistent grip. Booming beats crush your stereo. Trust me, it’s worth the damage.
Bang-on tune.

Band: VIRGINS
Who: Belfast-based
shoegaze indies.
Track: CRUCIBLE
From their upcoming, final release.
A 4-track EP, named Light The Space Left Behind.
Out on February 19th. More info here.
TUTV: Sad news. This compelling indie shoezegaze collective call it a day after 5 years.
Their debut album nothing hurt and everything was beautiful made Turn Up The Volume a fan. This both manic-guitar-propelled and melodic jam, spiced with crystalline vocals, is an arresting harbinger for the band’s goodbye.
Virgins didn’t hurt, everything they did was beautiful.

Artists: WAYWARD VINE
Who: Acoustic collective – Valerie Rachel and Greg Lawrence – exploring the human condition and the world around us. Our music probes themes of love, heartbreak, obsession, and social justice.
Track: THE FALL
The title track of their notable debut
album. You can stream it here.
TUTV: This enchanting reverie is so welcome in these messed-up times. Back to nature, where you can enjoy tranquility and reload your mind with basic normality. Touching piano play, some harmonica warmth, some violin nostalgia, acoustic guitar melancholy, bass and drum smoothness and hearty vocals paint a bittersweet symphony visualized now in a new, sepia-colored video.
Enrapturous.

KING TUFF – Flipped Out Garage Rocker Presents New Juggernaut ‘TWISTED ON A TRAIN’ From New Upcoming Album
Vitalizing tunes that work faster than a stream of caffeine

Flipped out garage rocker KING TUFF, born Kyle Thomas is back in town.
He has bagged his 6th longplayer, named it MOO and will share it with
the world on 27 March. More info here.
KT introduces his new record : “Rock & Roll is the music of rodents and bugs. It should sound like it crept from a decrepit trashcan or a crypt or a toilet. It is not chill or vibey, autotuned or on the grid. It is not perfect, which is why it’s perfect. And I don’t care if it’s dead or alive, cool or uncool: when I hear it, and when I play it, as a chubby and balding 43 year old punk weirdo, I FEEL ENERGIZED”.
Yep, the man is buzzing.
The album’s first taster is a no-nonsense, clear-cut rock juggernaut
with a glamourous T.Rex swagger, titled TWISTED ON A TRAIN.
Wake up and
jump on board.
Image Of The Day – WOLF ALICE’s Frontwoman ELLIE ROWSELL
As asual ELLIE ROWSELL just looks fabulous.
For those who misted it, last year’s album The Clearing is a must hear pop record.

CROSS WIRES – British Post Punk Indies Return With Doom And Gloom Burst ‘PREACHERS’
Daily electricity to load your batteries
26 January 2026
Band: CROSS WIRES
Who: Vehement post-punk
4-piece from Romford, UK.
So far they have released 2 albums.
Yesterday In Mourning (2023)
and A Life Extinct and #3 is canned.
Track: PREACHERS
The first single from their upcoming third album
‘Under The Watchful Eye of Another Man’s God’.
It’ll come our way on February 16th.
TUTV: As long as bands like Cross Wires are around, indie guitar rock will leave a mark with its intense, critical, middle-finger rage, and manic street preaching about social injustices.
Afer an alarming siren-like intro rabid riffs race and rush everywhere. Jonathan Chapman‘s well-oiled pipes cut like a razor-blade. Hot-button vim and vigour from start to finish.
Like the Pistols, Cross Wires mean it, man.
LYRICS
“Fear the world. The air you breathe.
Life hasn’t meaning when everything is a conspiracy.
Local sun. Hologram moon.
Don’t trust anyone but me. I’ve come to save your soul.
You’ve been indoctrinated and it’s time to let it go.
Rigged election. The plandemic. Everything is clear if
you’d just open up your eyes. Chemtrails and pizzagate.
(They don’t even have a basement)
Oh god I’m on the grift again.
Don’t trust anyone but me. I’ve come to save your soul.
You’ve been indoctrinated and it’s time to let it go.”

THE DAMNED Release Covers Album ‘NOT LIKE ANYBODY ELSE’ To The Memory Of Their Late Original Guitarist BRIAN JAMES
26 January 2026
London’s punk oldtimers THE DAMNED
celebrate their 50th birthday this year.
50? Time storms forward mercilessly.
Their debut LP Damned Damned Damned from 1977
still is one of the best punk albums ever, in my book.
They now have a new one out, named NOT LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE.
Their 13th longplayer. One with nothing but covers of 60/70s pop songs.
It’s a deeply personal and celebratory record to the memory
of co-founder/guitarist and musical architect Brian James,
who passed away on 6th March of last year.
The LP closes with a powerful farewell. The Rolling Stones‘ 1965 cracker ‘The Last Time‘, featuring Brian James himself, taken from his final live performance with The Damned in 2022 in London.”

TUTV: Expect covers of songs by Pink Floyd, The Stones, Lovin’ Spoonful, The Kinks,
The Creation, The Stooges, The Yardbirds, The Weeds, and a couple of others. The fact
that the record is a tribute to the late Brian Jones is the main message here. Kudos
to them for doing this. For me, after two spins, I went back to that supersonic debut LP.
