Band: VELVET TWO STRIPES
Who: Revved-up Swiss outfit founded in 2012 by two sisters and a longtime friend.
They have spent more than a decade making rock music on their own terms.
Their sound is rooted in raw guitars, grungy swagger, and an uncompromising attitude.
It has evolved without losing the urgency and rebellious spirit that first brought them together. Drummer Samuel Jaussi now completes the band as a permanent member.
Track: WOMAN
New single from their upcoming 5th album,
titled Touch Grass, out 9 April 2027.
New album artwork
The song is an unapologetic celebration of being a woman: taking up space, trusting your instincts and finding strength in your own identity. It carries the confidence of knowing exactly who you are and being proud of it, without asking for permission or recognition.
TUTV: Girl power is back with a big boisterous bang. On ‘Woman,’ these sassy
Swiss switch from rappin’ and rollin’ verses to a hard rockin’ chorus. This vivacious combination lifts this cock-a-hoop corker to a gloriously high mountain level. With
self-belief, the sky is not the limit.
Move over all you macho males out there,
Velvet Two Stripes are here to rule.
Wake up, get out
and go airborne.
