Indie heroes THROWING MUSES started their journey back in 1981 in Newport, Rhode Island with stepsisters Tanya Donelly and Kristin Hersch. Donelly left in 1990, worked
a short time with Kim Deal and her band The Breeders and formed Belly in 1991.

The Muses made/recorded 10 longplayers between 1986 and 2020.

London-born GRAHAM PARKER is one of those rare singer/songwriters who, throughout his whole career put passion and energy in all of his work. Of course, it helps when you’re born with a most affectingly soul-stirring voice, but to use that gift every single time for every single song with ardent dedication and avid devotion is, as said, a rare affair.

Heart & soul songsmith/performer

Parker, now 71, has released (with his band The Rumour and solo) a huge amount
of studio, live, and compilation LPs. Picking only 10 of his gems looks like a hard job.
It actually isn’t. I just closed my eyes and noted the first 10 GP songs that popped up
in my mind et voila.

It’s simple. BOB DYLAN is my all-time favorite songsmith. His genial songwriting
skills, his compelling storytelling, his supreme rhymes, his singular phrasing, his waywardness in many ways, and his (non)approach to the press. It all makes him
one of the unquestionable giants in rock history.

Last May Robert Zimmerman turned 80. But it doesn’t stop him from touring.
And, yes, he’s coming to Belgium again, on 15 October in Brussels.
Can’t wait to see the master again.

I have no clue whatsoever, how many songs Dylan wrote (so far).
What I do know is that a couple of 100 are on my best-of-Dylan-list.
Yes, hard to pick only 10. But I did.

Psychedelic black leather rock ‘n’ roll from San Francisco
who became one of my favorite bands (off znand on stage)
since their first ace LP back in 1998. So far they canned
8 albums.

Californian-born/Berlin-based musical centipede Anton Newcombe and
his troops released so far 19 studio albums (and multiple collaborative projects),
with Fire Doesn’t Grow On Trees as the most recent and best one in years, and
number 20 The Future Is Your Past lands in October.

I know, you wonder, how is it possible to select
just 10 gems out of countless candidates? Well, I
picked the first ten that popped into my mind.

and seeing them play a glam-tastic show for the first time in London, at the sold-out Astoria a year later I knew Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal would be big, but honestly
not as mega big as I thought. WOW! Never let them go.
