Band: ISABELLA STRANGE Who: 4 hungry indie Scots who came together during lockdown.
The group’s moniker comes from the name of an ancestor from
the 1700s, of guitarist/vocalist Kira Wolfe-Murray.
TUTV: Fiery riot grrrl Wolfe-Murray leads the troops on this blazing roller coaster
debut that bounces forth and back with a sinewy swagger. She gets sassy support
from her three partners in crime while she, herself, comes up with some razorblade
guitar riffs and a crushing chorus completes the steamy sonic picture.
Matt Brannon (bandleader) It’s about that painful disconnection in a relationship—when someone is living a double life but refuses to admit it, even after it’s over. The song started with that personal story but grew into something much bigger, reflecting on the tension between authenticity and secrecy”.

TUTV: Not Your Enemy swings forth and back with a sucker-punch chorus fighting
its way up front for several times. Hickman‘s intimidating phrasing makes her message crystal clear. You don’t want to have her as your enemy.
Smyth: “I constantly feel like I am rushing towards the inevitable infinite oblivion. Further exacerbated by the marking of years spent circling the sun. To that end, it’s important that
I fill the time remaining with joyous, creative acts. The sharing of ideas is an essential part
of that, which brings us to Silk.”
TUTV: It sounds as if Silk tries to produce as many electrical shoegaze layers as legendary
experts My Bloody Valentine used to fabricate. A huge tidal wave of guitar vibrancy creates a transcendental resonance, and camouflages the hazy vocals. Faze drags you into a spacey place where you have never been. Yes, very intriguing indeed.
Band: ANOTHER DAY Who: Fresh 4-piece guitar-driven indie rock band from Tunbridge Wells, Kent
who made name for themselves by playing tons of exciting gigs across the UK.
The song originated from a serendipitous comment by a man named Frank,
who suggested the phrase “Doghouse Roses” as an alternative band name. With
no intention of changing the band’s solidified name, the phrase inspired the song’s
hooky chorus. It’s built around the bittersweet emotions of a friend’s breakup.
The video features their friend, Pete Doherty‘s son Astille.

Martel: “I wrote Everybody Out at a point in my life when my social anxiety was really at its peak. When I sat down to write out all the lyrics I wanted to really emphasize the contradictory nature of this kind of anxiety where it has you running for the hills to get away from everyone but only because you so desperately want to connect with people and care far too much about every minor interaction just hoping it will be good.”
TUTV: Social anxiety in motion, uncontrollable emotion, mind-disturbing commotion. Martel translates all these turbulent sensitivities in a towering power pop gem energized by a pounding, one-note piano beat, her raging voice and the exploding get out chorus.

alternative rock & pop. This all-female, all-queer outfit are actively
speaking out about misogyny and mistreatment of women, ensuring

TUTV: This debut is a cranked-up razor-blade uppercut. Sinewy drumming,
blaring guitars and annoyed, ranting vocals storm together through a hefty haze of post-punk dissatisfaction. It feels like a helter-skelter punch to the face. I don’t think boxing icon Muhammed Ali was a punk, but his vicious left/right puissance is all over this outburst.
TUTV: Love Wakes Up is a sugary sweet psych-pop melody with sparkling guitars
and crystalline vocals. It’s a gratifying song that evokes lovey-dovey feelings,
very welcome in these chaotic times we live in. Hear the brisk bee zooming.
Who: A duo with contrasting yet complementary artistic journeys. Giulia born in Sesto San Giovanni, infuses the project with her vibrant soul, creating intense melodies, profound lyrics, and a captivating voice. Marco born in Monza, brings an instinctive and meticulous approach to crafting their signature electronic sound.
The song reflects the disillusionment of a generation grappling with
a world in decline, capturing both fragility and quiet resilience through
poetic imagery and layered soundscapes.
TUTV: This debut reflects our disturbing state-of-2024-mind with lots of human dramas going on all over the globe. Artist: DISARME Who: Franco-Malagasy songstress tackles themes of generation Y (literally ‘why’). Disillusionment, lack of meaning, ideals turned upside down within the margins
of a world always known in crisis
The self-taught artist-musician expresses in this song the yearning for change
in a world that stifles the senses and dreams. Staying true to the music of her
teenage years, she finds her own resonance between the rock of the ’90s/early
2000s and today’s alt-pop-rock.
TUTV: It’s both the mellow progression and shadowy vibe at work here
that turns Change into a sort of chill-out experience of intimacy. Disarme‘s
near-whispering vocals, tranquillizing guitar sparks and the withheld tension

TUTV: The song is about being a fan of an idol. I guess these French youngsters are big fans of the 90s Britpop era as they groove with the same confident flair and sassy swagger of the early demo days of rock champs Oasis and The Verve.
N.S.M.L.Y.D has a slow moving flow with a magnetizing effect, a synth riff that dances in your head, and laid back vocals to match the song’s cool slo-mo vibe. Bring on some more stuff, France.

TUTV said: A riff-deranged head-over-heels speedball. Think Australian barbed wire

Clamorous frontman Alex Edkins of Canadian noise engine Metz and Graham Walsh, keyboardist of dance punks Holy Fuck, got together for a project of their own, named, Noble Rot.
Their debut single Casting No Light is motorik Krautrock-like mindfucker that circles around like forever, pushed by a pumping synth/drum/guitar riff-boom-beat that grows
in hypnotic intensity along the way. Fucktastic! The song is part of their debut album Heavenly Bodies, Repetition, Control.
Who: 4-piece enigma from London. They have a passion for humour, theatrics
and the ethereal all the while set to a backdrop of crushing bass heavy sonics, maniacal kraut-tinged drumming and toe-tapping pop-esque melodics, interspersed with a dry somewhat disturbed vocal delivery.
TUTV said: What a mind-twister, what a debut. From the get-go repetitive Krautrock dynamics do your head without asking permission first. It just happens in an eye-ear blink. It feels like this jagged jackhammer plays on repeat, over and over again, within its own swirling structure. Its trance-inducing beats create a hypnotic and puzzling razzmatazz you can’t and you won’t escape from. Bingo! Touchdown! I want more.

They boast a sound and energy that waxes and wanes like the rough waters
from which they began and blend an exciting mix of emotionally charged
grooves, dynamic high-energy beats, and entrancing, atmospheric layers.

who are, today, experiencing the horrors of war as a way of life. This is something I could never understand due to the privileged life I live. This song came tumbling out of me quickly. the ultimate form of creative freedom. Every aspect of this project is curated in-house
in true DIY spirit. Red Peril was born as a form of escapism during times of uncertainty.
I ended up quitting everything; my job, band, relationship and flat.
All I wanted was to make music, put my stories into sound, and that’s what Red Peril is. I met Dexter last year at a gig. We instantly clicked and started playing together. His incredible guitar and production skills have made these songs come alive. We have been lucky to receive support from Blang Records, who have given us so much encouragement and creative freedom.”

Artists: LEISURE FM Who: Twins Milena & Weronika, born in Poland, who lived in Wales as children
and now calling South East London home. Driven by late-night contemplation &
an experimental spirit, they started producing music in their bedrooms a few
years back to combat lockdown blues, alongside DJing regularly.
TUTV: Absorbing, arresting, and spellbinding. Statuesque is a mid-tempo, darkish
dream pop meditation. Richly, yet subtly orchestrated with weeping violins here
