Who: Dream-pop outfit from the mystic shores of Brighton (where
almost everybody is in a band). They have 2 albums under their belts.

Track: INTO THE NIGHT

The song is a haunting descent into isolation and anxiety that channels
a sense of creeping unease, and the ghosts we carry with us long after
the lights go out.

TUTV: Sonically and vocally, this jangly guitar pop woolgathering resonates like
a breezy Indian summer tune for quiet night drives. On the other hand, the song’s
story isn’t a happy one, whatsoever. Mental issues draw all attention.

Well, these days, with the chaotic times we live in, ruled by psychotic world leaders,
it’s not like we have a lot of reasons to jump for joy. And then again, music can have
a healing force. It always has. In the end, music rules. As it does here.

Who: Manchester’s girl-and-boy-next-door lo-fi indie duo
who blend upfront plugged-in guitar riffs, candy-floss-sweet harmonies and a sense of joyful togetherness intact.

Track: WORK IT OUT

“The song is about conflict resolution, but also about that strange apathy you can feel when you’re surrounded by constant arguments, whether that’s protests, politics or toxic online spats. The protagonist is almost taking the attitude of ‘I can’t be bothered with this’, while knowing that sometimes avoiding conflict doesn’t necessarily make it disappear. ‘Be careful what you wish for’ is probably the most important line in the song.”

The song tells a story of two outsiders with completely different upbringings
who crossed paths and could only find a sense of normality in each other’s

more and more demanding music becomes more and more of an escape from it.

It felt like the perfect song to return to the process of releasing solo music again.

Band: ELEPHANT STONE
Who: Acclaimed psych outfit fronted by Rishi Dhir, a songwriter and sitarist who
has spent twenty years blurring the lines between Western psych-pop and Indian
classical.

Track: FASCISTS KILLED YER ROCK ‘N’ ROLL

The 2nd preview, following Everything Evil from their
new LP, baptized Asha, out August 26th. More info here.

The song confronts the global rise of fascism with the unflinching authority of history.
The official video repurposes footage from One Got Fat, a 1963 public domain film
whose unsettling imagery of masked children proves a disturbingly fitting backdrop.

TUTV: This psychedelia-drenched, sitar-spicy groover, wouldn’t be out of place on Doomsday‘s soundtrack. The far-right rules again as it did in the last century’s 40s, but
the world survived, and as long as bands like this keep on challenging the fascists with fiery rockin’ and rollin’ force, I’m sure we’ll survive once again.

Who: Solo project of Lucio Filizola, Italian multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Lucio Filizola.
