ALL TOGETHER
.
TRACK BY TRACK
Band: BATHING SUITS
Who: Fresh abrasive noise-pop, industrial freak-punk, and
dance-noise collective from Leeds, UK. Last April, they launched
their smashing debut EP KILL Bathing Suits.
Track: DO YA?
TUTV: WTF! This latest British hype is here to show why we should trust the hype
this time around. Never heard of them? Start here with new sassy stomper Do Ya?
with its non-stop pulsating disco throbs that grab you by the throat and intoxicate
your whole body from then on.
Sexy nightmare music for (il)legal EBM nightclubs.
If you’re done with Do Ya? go straight to their
EP on Spotify and keep on moving in mysterious
ways.
Band: PIXIES
Who: The Boston oldtimers fronted
by the imperisable Black Francis.
Track: Brackish Boy
One of the 2 previously unreleased tracks that was released
on 7″ along with the vinyl reissue of their 35-year-old album
Trompe Le Monde.
TUTV: Since their reunion back in 2004, they have been omnipresent with
new music (5 albums) and incessantly touring. I suppose chief Black Francis
is still looking for his mind.

Band: RIP MAGIC
Who: Mercurial, guitarless, dance-thirsty
punk indies from London.
Track: LOVERBOY
TUTV: A striking stroke from their must-hear
brand new, superb debut album 1,2,3.
Clash Magazine (UK) says: “A rock record without guitars, it moves between sounds
and styles with an unpredictability that keeps you guessing, with its sharp shifts often
feeling like being thrown into an entirely different world.
That ability to pull together seemingly unrelated ideas and make them entirely
their own is what makes RIP Magic one of the most exciting bands around right
now.”
Band: DUTCH UNCLES
Who: English indies creating a dynamic blend of catchy
melodies and intricate musical arrangements. Doing their
whoopy thing since 2008.
Track: NO NOTE
Lead single from their 7th LP, called Polygon Hotel.
It’ll show up next year on Feb 19th. Tracklist & pre-order
info here.
The band’s singer-songwriter Duncan Wallis wrote the songs in a quiet suburb of Manchester, where he, after more than a decade on the road, settled with his family.
The fixed location charmed him, with his observational eye spinning Dutch Uncles’
songwriting in different directions.
TUTV: Expect a trippy pop ditty you just
can’t resist to hup and hop along. Yeah!
Artists: PORPLE PILGRIMS
Who: 2 dream- pop angels/sisters
from New Zealand.
Track: LOOK TO THE MOON
Newest piece from their forthcoming 3rd album,
titled Given The Night. Out Nov 27. Tracklist and
pre-order info here.
While making the record, Valentine and Clementine gently pushed away from the world, deleted social media, retreated into the trees of their native New Zealand, and only invited a couple of people in during the recording process. From that space, the album came together in an eerily easy way.
TUTV: These starry-eyed nightingales made me instantly think of
the fabulous sisters CocoRosie. Music for day and nightdreaming.
