GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR – Demo Of Their Lost Album Now Officially Shared On Bandcamp

16 February 2022

Enigmatic Canadian sound-explorers GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR
released a demo of their first LP All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling
in 1994, only on cassette with a total of just 33 copies, sold in an eyeblink.

About a month ago an anonymous user posted on /mu/ – Music, a wiki website
dedicated to all things relating to 4chan’s /mu/ board and music-related information”
a folder of 68 minutes of music over 24 tracks accompanied by a long message of
how the user got hold of it. Read his full statement here.

A YouTube member named naskivik uploaded the alleged lost album on YT…

Now, following the leak, the band decided to give the full demo/album an official
release via Bandcamp. The music was recorded almost entirely by Efrim Manuel
Menuck
, considered as the bandleader of Godspeed. Future members Mauro
Pezzente
and Mike Moya also made contributions.

All Lights Fucked On The Hairy Amp Drooling contains 27 tracks
but are now issued as four tracks, each of around 17 minutes long.

The release came with this message: ““This was a retirement letter, recorded spring/summer/fall summer of 1993. all of it by efrim, and a little bass from mauro.
vocals on $13.13 by d.c., acoustic gtr. snippet and backwards hash by dan-o. no
relation to the band that followed. all proceeds from sales going to the CJPME’s
campaign to provide medical oxygen to the Gaza Strip. be gentle.”

Raw and Fascinating.
Totally Godspeed.
Here we go…

GODSPEED Or Not GODSPEED That’s The Question

6 February 2022

Canadian sound-explorers GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR released
their first album All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling in 1994,
only on cassette with a weird total of 33 copies that were sold in an eyeblink
but so far not one copy surfaced. Well, that’s what a couple of Godspeed
members said in a 1998 interview.

Guess what? Yesterday, an anonymous user posted on /mu/ – Music,
a wiki website “dedicated to all things relating to 4chan’s /mu/ board and
music-related information”
a folder of 68 minutes of music over 24 tracks
accompanied by a long message of how the user got hold of it. Read the
full statement here. Cleaner versions of “Random Luvly Moncton Blue(s)
and “Dadmomdaddy” two purported tracks from the lost album are part
of the folder.

A YouTube member named naskivik uploaded the alleged lost album on YT.
Whoever this is, whatever this is, it’s totally fascinating and totally Godspeed-like
