Going Bonkers At Home – Here Are THE MERCY KILLS With New Clip For ‘ALONE’…

Hard kicking and hitting engine THE MERCY KILLS out of Melbourne, Australia remastered their top single, ‘ALONE’. A re-worked version of a band and live crowd favourite, from their debut album Happy To Kill You.

Alone is a steamy barnstormer whit a loud and clear ‘it’s only rock and roll but we fucking like it’ attitude. This 4-headed turbo reinvents the nastiest moments of legends New York Dolls, The Stooges and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. I know, this means 24 Karat firework and solid raw power fierceness. Towering riffs, inflammable hooks, dirty licks, and a yell along chorus. The new accompanying clip is filmed at the homes of the group’s members. If you wanna see what happens with a rock squad after weeks of isolation then you should see this. Elvis is there too, somewhere.

Canadian Foursome NEVER BETTERS Going Electric On New Mixed Emotions Single ‘ALONE’…

Posted on by JL

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

4 December 2018

Band: NEVER BETTERS

Who: Pop worshipping punkers from different bands getting together
in the church of fuzz somewhere in London, Ontario, Canada

Pick: ALONE – new single about “trying to enjoy the euphoria of new love or infatuation, without being bogged down by the harsh reality that the affection is unrequited.”

Score: These Canadian noisemakers have their own way to deal with an unanswered love. Instead of writing a downcast ballad about it, they turn up their guitar amps and crush a poppy melody into a Sonic Youth frenzy along a ruthless drums/bass beat while sensitive female vocals sing you the mixed emotions story of being alone. The fierce/mirthless combination works weirdly well. Find out why right here…
