TRIGGERFINGER – Belgian Stoner Rockers Have Their Riff-Roasting 6th Album ‘TARMAC’ Out

28 September 2026

Band: TRIGGERFINGER
Who: Belgian rock vets Ruben Block and
Mario Goossens who started as a trio back
in 1998.

Album: TARMAC
6th full-length, the tandem’s
first in 9 years.

Ruben Block (vocalist/guitarist) talked to Belgian
magazine Humo about their new record in 9 years.

“People get older; we view life differently now than we did back then. The world has changed too. So the situation is naturally different than it was then. But apart from that, we did indeed try to make a record that sounds a bit different from what we had already made.

It’s fucking hard to write a good song, isn’t it? It takes time, energy, concentration, and frustration. You hope that people will enjoy hearing it and that we’ll be able to tour with
it for a while: that’s it.”

TUTV: For nearly 30 years now, Belgian stone rockers use a simple formula. Let the riffs
do the main talking. Triggerfringer play in the first division of electric-magnetic rawk ‘n’ roll, knocking out bombproof bangers with bona fide dedication and lots of blare, triggering dextrous body activity. No arty farty tricks. Straight on. Bingo.

PUDDLE OF MUD – Grunge Rockers Released Their 2nd Album ‘COME CLEAN’ Today 25 Years Ago

Significant longplayers from yesteryear

28 August 2026

Band: PUDDLE OF MUDD
Who: Famed grunge rockers from Kansas City
running amok since 1992 and still going strong.

Last year they released their 9th LP, Kiss The Machine.

Anniversary Album: COME CLEAN
Their 2nd.

Released on 28 August 2001, today 25 years ago.

It was POM’s biggest hit on the US Billboard 200, peaking at number 9, despite mixed critical verdicts. The album has sold over 5,000,000 copies and was certified 3× Platinum by the RIAA. It peaked at #12 on the UK Charts.

Flavorwire (NYC-based cultural magazine) said, “Sadly, grunge led straight to post-grunge,
a genre that retained grunge’s guitar sound and jettisoned everything else that made it special. The result was torpid pseudo-grunge. Like this album, for instance.”

Loudwire (US Magazine)
wrote in retrospect: “Though they’ve released seve other albums since, Puddle of Mudd never surpassed the success they had with Come Clean, making it the best offering of their catalog.”
