DAMON ALBARN Drops Meditative Song ‘PARTICLES’ From Upcoming Solo Album

The hardest working songsmith is, without a shadow of a
doubt, is DAMON ALBARN (Blur, Gorillaz, solo,collaborations).

His second solo album, titled ‘THE NEARER THE FOUNTAIN,
MORE PURE THE STREAM FLOWS’ lands on 14 November
via Transgressive Records.

“The new record is influenced by an orchestral project and live experience
back in 2019, with the landscapes of Iceland as an inspiration. 11 tracks
“exploring themes of fragility, loss, emergence and rebirth”. The title is
taken from a poem by English poet John Clare“.

After the title track and Polaris Albarn gives
us another taster with Particles. An intimate
candlelight meditation.

Centipede DAMON ALBARN (Blur, Gorillaz) breathes music 24/7.

His second solo, longplayer, titled ‘THE NEARER THE FOUNTAIN,
MORE PURE THE STREAM FLOWS’ arrives on 12 November
via Transgressive Records.

“The new record is influenced by an orchestral project and live experience

After the moody title track we get another new one called,
Polaris, also a philosophic piece, yet far more sprightly.

Happy 50 to DAMON ALBARN. Born in London on 23 March 1968 this musical centipede is most famous as the frontman of Britpop legends BLUR and singer/songwriter of virtual band GORILLAZ . But as a 24/7 musician he did far more than being a legendary pop star. He collaborated with countless artists, from African roots artists to sixties icon Marianne Faithfull, from writing musicals to forming a band with The Clash bassist Paul Simonon.
