One of the best and most highly influential British bands in rock history is,
without a shadow of a doubt THE KINKS, formed by brothers Ray and Dave
Davies this year 60 years and tons of hits/LPs ago.
But it seems that Twitter‘s (new) controversial, billionaire owner Elon Musk
doesn’t know them (or just doesn’t like them). Anyway, some mysterious Twitter
entity stamp all their tweets with warnings because of their band name, and it
just goes on and on, without any reaction from the Twitter organisation.
Tired of all that nonsense, Dave Davies, addressed Musk directly and asked him
“to stop putting warnings on everything from ‘the Kinks.’ We are just trying to promote
our Kinks music. The Kinks are a brand name. We have been called the Kinks since 1963.
So this isn’t just an account about peoples’ kinks.”
