This is the artwork for the 6-track live EP, titled FOO FIGHTERS ARE PLAYING WHERE??? VOL. 1 that Dave Grohl & Co dropped out of the blue on Bandcamp (their first music on this platform) this weekend.

The tracks come from the surprise club shows that the band played across the US last month. The EP is available exclusively on Bandcamp, with proceeds going towards local charities working to combat food insecurity in San Luis Obispo and Santa Ana, California, Washington, D.C., and New Haven, Connecticut, the four cities where the gigs took place.

SNÕÕPER – Nashville Punk Team Drop New 4-Track EP ‘UNKNOWN CALLER’

Trash-clash-and-slash pop punk squad SNÕÕPER from Nashville, TN, unleashed
their unbridled debut LP Super Snõõper 2 years ago. A blustery blitzkrieg record.
14 songs in 22 minutes, like in the good old Ramones days.
Since then, they released a couple of singles and played countless gigs.
And to make their fans go apeshit again, they just dropped a new 4-track EP,
titled Unknown Caller. More of their head-twisting, razzle-dazzle commotion.

Last Sunday they played in Belgium again (this was the 5th time in 2 years) as part
of Les Nuits Botanique Festival in Brussels. Unfortunately, the sound mix was horrible.
It felt like they were sinking into a swamp of deafening racket. What a no-show.

TUTV: Princess Ugly are ready to take on a new year.
They are armed with axes and a new 6-track EP.
The world turned into a violent and intolerant mess the pas few years.
Bring The Axes is a fitting soundtrack for the upsetting times we have to
endure.

Obscure procession into the unknown.”
Sonically, the repetitious resonance displays vintage goth and dark-synth-waves.
There’s an irresistible and seductive catchiness to all the tracks, but beware, a
doom and gloom menace dominates all the way.
Scary, whispering vocals breathe down your neck, causing a spine-chilling sensation
and non-stop electro thunderclaps keep on hitting your head. Despite of it all you’ll find yourself dancing in the dark hiding from outside threats. The stroboscope does its dazzling work in the Princess Ugly batcave while shadowy tunes circle around.

THE KILLS Have Endearing Acoustic 5-Track EP ‘HAPPIER GIRL SESSIONS’ Out

Last year THE KILLS, singer Alison Mosshart and guitarist Jamie Hince,
scored one of the best 2023 albums (in my book) with God Games
Last weekend they launched a 5-track EP,
called HAPPIER GIRLS SESSIONS.
It was recorded at Grammy-winning producer Paul Epworth’s Church Studios in London.
The EP has a physical and digital released. A 7” vinyl features a soulful cover of Happier Than Ever’s titanic hit single ‘Happier Than Ever’ on the A-side and a new non-electric version of ‘My Girls My Girls’, a top piece from that album.

The digital EP features both aforementioned songs and acoustic versions
of three more God Games cuts: 103, New York and Better Days.

Sometimes I wonder if this project is 4 real and is not some sci-fi creation of Space
Odyssey maestro Stanley Kubrick pretending it’s human. Anyway, listen/watch and

Wayne (guitar/vocals) “A lot of time spent on this one. Mike and I really used this downtime from the pandemic to send voice memo demos back and forth. I would write everyday while I was “working from home”. We spent a solid year just focused on these batch of songs. This was also the first time handing the keys over to a team to help with production. It had its ups and downs was really a learning experience as well. It took thought to get the song ideas to come together it took a team to make the EP sound how we wanted it to be.”
Turn Up The Volume says: As I said before these captivating Canadians have the spry drive and harmonious spirit of Americana zealots Band Of Horses (Shoreline / Lights/ Stay Gold), but they also create that agitated turbulence of former Hüsker Dü hero Bob Mould on Long Hair (Longer Nights) and Walls.

Former Hüsker Dü and Sugar hero shared,
unexpectedly, a 3-track live EP titled THE OCEAN.
Just him and his acoustic guitar. Two songs (The Ocean
and Forecast Of Rain are from his 2020 LP Blue Hearts and
the third track is an old Hüskerr Dü one Divide And Conquer).
The way he performs here, ardent and passionate,
is so characteristic for Mould. Genuine artist.
