The repeated “Peng, peng, peng” and imagery of a gun suggest a battle for agency and self-expression. The silver symbolism hints at a quest for purity amidst chaos. Ultimately, the song celebrates the courage to forge one’s path and assert one’s identity despite societal pressures. Reaching and longing.

Overall, the meaning can be open to interpretation, and the lyrics
may convey a sense of adventure, freedom, or perhaps even a touch

TUTV: ‘Silver Cowboy‘ could have been on the soundtrack of epic 1968 western movie
Once Upon A Time In The West, if it was directed by David Lynch, not Serge Leone and Ennio Morricone didn’t compose the score, Xiu Xiu did. In that case, bad guy Frank (Henry Fonda) would be played by Eraserhead, the location would be called Armageddon and the year would be 1984, Orwell‘s favourite one.

Bizzaro images, right? Well, that’s what Hannah White does with her music. It triggers
your darkest imaginations, and as we, humans, want to understand all things bizzaro,
we explore all corners of our mind to find rational answers. Don’t do that. Let the Silver Cowboy wander in White‘s labyrinth where nightmares hide. Just connect and experience the moment, don’t try to explain it.

New single: WANNA SEE

Last March this versatile London artist released her
enigmatic and experimental 4-track NO PREVIEW.

“Chaotic music for chaotic minds in chaotic times”
wrote Turn Up The Volume.

With her new single Wanna See continues her sound-exploring search.
Here she fuses symphonic instrumentation with deep-bass-resonating
synth turbulence. Trippy, dissonant and even claustrophobic when short
fragments of White‘s restless breathing emerge somewhere in there.

The ongoing pizzicato violin play adds both an airy and eerie timbre.
I have no idea what the totally silent outro with some echoes of (what
seems to be) firecrackers in the very end, is about. What I do know is
that the first thought that crossed my mind when hearing this, was:
Aphex Twin is back, in disguise.

Known as one of the shiny dark innovators behind
acclaimed avant-garde pop band Midnight Opera.
