Image Of The Day – LINDA McCARTNEY Stamp Collection
The late, multi-talented Linda Eastman (1941-1998) was not only the wife of
beatle Paul McCartney. One of her many skills was photography. She was widely
respected for her visual artistry.
She will now be honored for her
work with a stamp collection.

Image Of The Day – GEESE At PUKKELPOP BELGIUM
22 August 2026
Yesterday was the first day of the huge Belgian Pukkelpop Festival.
Best performance, to my ears was, unquestionably, by NYC’s indie bigwigs
GEESE who caused goose-bumps with their wayward, impassioned rock buzz
and their charismatic frontman Cameron Winter blessed with a formidable
voice.
Their dumbfounding 4th LP Getting Killed came out last year.

Image Of The Day – SUEDE
Last night, British rock band SUEDE played a blistering-hot set at Lokerse Feesten in Belgium. Frontman Brett Anderson‘s starred in the middle. He’s aging backwards.
After all these years, his vitality and vocal range are still adrenaline-fueled. Class!
Image Of The Day – QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
6 August 2026
Last Tuesday muscular rock cannons FOO FIGHTERS and
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE started their Take Cover Tour
in Toronto, Canada.
The Queens‘ Josh Homme is sooooo ready to rock.
Image Of The Day – GARY NUMAN
New wave icon GARY NUMAN (68 now) saw
10,000 electric friends in front of him, last night
at Lokerse Feesten – Belgium.
They all were last night, Gary.
Image Of The Day – TOM WAITS
1 August 2026
TOM WAITS worked with Massive Attack on their upcoming 12″,
named Boots On The Ground. It’ll be out September 4.
The B-side of the 12″ is a spoken word piece by Waits, called The Fly.
It’s on all streaming platforms, and the proceeds will go to migrants
in the US.
Artwork on top.
Waits: “Today, as in all of mankind’s yesterdays, guarantees this type of
song will never go out of style. Man’s folly of fiascos is a feast for the flies.
‘The Fly’ features my appreciation for the winged nuisance.”
