LED ZEPPELIN Guitar Hero JIMMY PAGE Released His Only Solo Single ‘SHE JUST SATISFIES’ This Day 60 Years Ago

26 February 2025

Former Led Zep‘s guitar hero JIMMY PAGE (81 now) started his career in the early
60s as session/studio musician. Just before he joined The Yardbirds he released a
solo single (the only recording ever in his own name) titled SHE JUST SATIFIES. He
played all the instruments on the track except for the drums, produced it and sung
it. It was released 60 years ago today, on 26 February 1965.

Jingle-jangle riffs and Beatles-esque echoes.

FOO FIGHTERS With JIMMY PAGE And JOHN PAUL JONES For LED ZEPPELIN Jackhammer ‘ROCK ‘N ROLL’

One live track a day keeps the doctor away

Today we go back to 2008 when FOO FIGHTERS
played for a full house at Wembley Stadion in 2008.

At one point, Led Zeppelin icons Jimmy Page (guitar) and
John Paul Jones
(bass) joined the Fighters on stage for a
deafening version of Led Zep‘s 1971 jackhammer
Rock ‘N’ Roll.

For the occasion, frontman Dave Grohl and the late great
drummer Taylor Hawkins changed places. Fucktastic.

Waking Up… DAZED AND CONFUSED

Works faster and harder than caffeine

Yesterday the genuine pioneering guitar
hero JEFF BECK passed away, aged 78.

His career started with British blues rock band The Yardbirds
where he and Jimmy Page played together for a short time.

It’s a bit of a weird coincidence that Led Zeppelin ‘s debut LP came
out this day in 1969, featuring their classic Dazed and Confused .

That’s my feeling after the sad news about Jeff Beck.

Happy 75 To JIMMY PAGE…

9 January 2019

James Patrick Page was born 75 years ago today – on 9 January 1944 – in Heston, Middlesex, England. He started his career as a successful session guitarist, then played with The Yardbirds from 1966 to 1968 and formed afterward LED ZEPPELIN, one of the most famous and influential rock bands of all time. The band broke up after the death
of their mammoth drummer John Bonham who passed away on 25 September 1980, only 32. Rolling Stone Magazine once described Jimmy Page as the pontiff of power riffing and ranked him number three in their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, behind two other legends Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Let’s celebrate the icon’s 75 birthday with one of his dirtiest riffs ever. Here we go…
