James Patrick Page was born 75 years ago today – on 9 January 1944 – in Heston, Middlesex, England. He started his career as a successful session guitarist, then played with The Yardbirds from 1966 to 1968 and formed afterward LED ZEPPELIN, one of the most famous and influential rock bands of all time. The band broke up after the death
of their mammoth drummer John Bonham who passed away on 25 September 1980, only 32. Rolling Stone Magazine once described Jimmy Page as the pontiff of power riffing and ranked him number three in their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, behind two other legends Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Let’s celebrate the icon’s 75 birthday with one of his dirtiest riffs ever. Here we go…
