DREAMWAVE – British Psych Rock Indies Aflame On New Combative Corker ‘OVER YOU’

Daily electricity to load your batteries

20 February 2026

Band: DREAMWAVE
Who: A diverse psychedelic rock group from Bristol, South West England, known for their explosive live presence, playful personality, and genre-blurring songwriting. Drawing from garage rock, acid punk, and dream pop, the band move effortlessly between raw, high-energy performances and soft, floating moments of introspection.

Track: OVER YOU
Brand new single.

Press info: “With Over You, the band lean into their raw, high-energy roots — driving rhythms, sharp-edged guitars, and a restless momentum that reflects their reputation for explosive live shows. It sits firmly in the louder, more visceral side of their catalogue, built for packed rooms and late-night singalongs.

TUTV: Puzzling pysch rock at its flaming best. Think Black Angeles on a rowdy roll after a rambunctious helter skelter intro. Roisterous guitars are creating havoc everywhere, while an unfaltering drum/bass collaboration takes care of the combative corker’s bracing beat, and echoing vocals reverbarate left and right. Sinewy score. All cylinders on.

STRANGE PLANTS – Canadian Rockers Drop Outstanding Power Piece ‘LAY YOUR MIND’

Daily electciity to load your batteries

16 February 2026

Band: STRANGE PLANTS
Who: A Canadian outfit rooted in vintage psychedelia. Their self-titled debut LP,
released last year draws influences from artists like MGMT and Jack White, while
remaining faithful to classic icons such as Pink Floyd and Supertramp. You can
stream it here.

Track: LAY YOUR MIND
The first release in a forthcoming collection
of songs arriving throughout 2026.

Press info: “At its core, the song serves as a love letter to the steady figures in our lives, the people who absorb chaos with patience and understanding. The title reflects that sense of emotional grounding, celebrating those who remain present when everything else feels uncertain.”

TUTV: Brannon‘s stirring, delirious, and superb vocals are going through the roof
and lift this powerful pop thrill to an outstanding and overwhelming level. He’s backed
by an unshakeable rhythm section and startling guitars that start to flip out midway. Imposing tune. Towering execution. Striking stroke.

Gene Gallagher’s Band VILLANELLE Smell Like Teen Spirit – Hear New Riff Wallop ‘PLACEBO

Daily electricity to load your batteries

14 February 2026

Press photo

Band: VILLANELLE
Who: Fresh Brit-rock trio led
by Liam Gallagher‘s son Gene.

New single: PLACEBO
Their 3rd one following last year’s first two, Hinge and Measly Means.
All 3 songs will feature on their debut EP, named ‘Measly Means’. Out on
May 6th.

Gallagher: “‘Placebo’ is about heightened visualisations of post-session anxiety.”
I’m sure his father hasn’t a clue what his son is saying here. To be honest I
have no clue myself.

TUTV: Villanelle like it raw and rough, straight in your face. Placebo is a ripping-riff wallop. Gene Gallagher doesn’t follow in his father’s band footsteps. His motto is more like ‘tonight I’m a grunge star‘.

Yep, his band don’t look back in anger to the Nirvana days. They’re definitly, maybe fans of Kurt Cobain‘s unpolished and unbridled exuberance and they are great pupils at it. Mind you, they’re influenced, but they aren’t replicaters. Villanelle smell like teen spirit their own way, sonically, vocaly and lyrically. They will go places.

Press play.
Go bonkers.

Daily electricity to load your batteries

12 February 2026

Photo: Miikka Jouhkimainen

Band: WILD BABY
Who: Helsinki-based rock band formed in 2024. Their music blends influences
from Foo Fighters, The Beatles, and Mumford & Sons, yet their sound remains
distinctively their own – organic, energetic, and emotionally charged.

Track: UPSIDE DOWN
Only their third single.

TUTV: Upside Down starts smoothly with silken guitar play, but
when every band member joins in, the decibels go up, the ardour
goes up and Wild Baby work their way to a razzle-dazzle chorus,
before heading to an incendiary finale.

Peppered power pop panache with all cylinders on, a stream
of ripping riffs and vigorous vocals. Finland rocks. Big time.

GERECKI – Serbian Indie Rockers Groove On New Jagged Jam ‘IT GETS DARK’

11 February 2026

Band: GERECKI
Who: Art rock ensemble from Serbia, known for blending 60s- and 70s-inspired
rock’n’roll with chamber-pop intimacy, subtle psychedelic hues, and jazz-inflected
textures.

Track: IT GETS DARK
New piece from their upcoming debut album, named
Athanasios (Greek word for immortal), out May 7th.

Album artwork

The song draws from a quiet, deeply personal memory: a family visit to the zoo.
Seen through the eyes of a three-year-old daughter — curious, overwhelmed, moved to tears by the crocodile house, then distracted by ducks flying over seemingly empty cages.

TUTV: Gerecki produce a hook-hungry groove, reminiscent of The Beatles‘s classic Get Back jam. No kidding. That’s what my experienced ears (big Beatles fans) told me immediately. A-OK, right? Far and away. It Gets Dark thrives on it and repeats its infectious throb after slowing down here and there. Helter skelter.

9 February 2026

Band: JENNIFER TEFFT & THE STRANGE
Who: A fired up, energizing outfit who create earthy music from its roots and breathes fresh, rock and roll life into them. Their music combines intense rhythms with unique guitar textures and vocals that wind easily from darkly ethereal to soaring anthems, creating their own brand of gritty-lush alternative rock.

Track: A LITTLE MORE

Tefft: “This song was written during a point in my relationship where I felt like it was
too one-way. Where I really wanted ‘A Little More’ from my significant other, communication, time, emotion, etc. – but I was afraid to say it out loud. I think it is a pretty common theme in relationships.”

Art by Stephen ‘Sharky’ Beccia; design by Jennifer Tefft

TUTV: If I tell you that riff-riveting blues rock duo The Kills are one of my all-time fav
bands, you’ll absolutely understand why I love this amazeballs crackerjack. Jennifer
Tefft
voice matches Alison Mosshart‘s warm-blooded one. Both passional and sensual.

A Little More is a magnetic mid-tempo turn-on, motorized by a striking
drum/bass artillery and sparked by anxious guitars. Ladies and gents,
we have a winner. We get a lot more now.

“You only want me
When you can’t have
You only listen
When you’re talking bout yourself
You’re missing hints
And now it’s got me keeping score
I need a little more”

6 February 2026

Press photo

Ohio‘s rowdy blues tandem THE BLACK KEYS – singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach
and drummer Patrick Carney just announced their 3rd LP in 3 years. It’s baptized PEACHES!. It’ll hit the streets
May 1st.

Auerbach about the new full-length: “We weren’t making a record. We were just
jamming, like this is for us. Really primal, in a moment when all the nerves were raw,
just kinda screaming. We were going through a lot, trying to lift our spirits. I think
my dad getting sick made me not give a fuck and just wanna scream for a bit.”

The lead single, called YOU GOT TO LOSE
is an unbridled boogie-woogie stomper.

BK go back to their inflammable blues roots.
They rattle and ramble like in their early days.

USI ES And WOLF VANWYMEERSCH Team Up For Heartening Hush-Hush Duet ‘ONE WAY TO THE SEA’

3 February 2026

© Rosaline Fiems en Anton Coene

Artists: USI ES and WOLF VAN WYMEERSCH

Track: ONE WAY TO THE SEA

USI ES is the musical moniker of Belgian singer-songwriter Ester Weemaes.
Her music balances between darkness and dreaminess. Her debut album
SideQuest lands next Friday.

Wolf Vanwymeersch is a seasoned musician who released the first LP,
A Mass In the Water by his new band Wholes last November.

Press info: “One Way the Sea” isn’t a sugary ballad, but rather the story of a couple
of fortune seekers who take their chances at sea. Musically, the duet navigates the same waters as the collaborative work of PJ Harvey and Mark Lanegan, but is powered by raw electronics.”

TUTV: Two things popped up in my head instantly. Firstly, David Lynch‘s 2001 enigmatic movie Mulholland Drive and secondly, Nick Cave and his 1996 album Murder Ballads, featuring his Where The Wild Roses Grow duet with Kylie Minogue.

Those that make sense? Does it have too? As I said, these were my first thoughts
after hearing this collaboration for the first time. So I guess it makes sense to me.

Usi Es and Wolf‘s duet is a slow-mo, hush-hush wandering, a subtly orchestrated dream
in motion, an alluring song of a utopian future, a tempting adventure. Their voices fit romantically well. Both intriguing and heartening, creating an illusory ambiance.

There’s always a sea at the end of the tunnel.

BILLY BRAGG – In The Footsteps Of SPRINGSTEEN English Folk Legend Shares Anti-ICE Song

Daily electricity to load your batteries

1 February 2026

English veteran songsmith and political activist, BILLY BRAGG (aged 67 now)
has, following Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Streets Of Minneapolis’ written an anti-ICE song,
titled CITY OF HEROES.

Bragg: “The murder of Alex Pretti was horrifically shocking, all the more so as we are still reeling from the images of the murder of Renee Good. That these crimes can be committed in broad daylight, on camera and yet no one is held accountable only adds to the injustice.”

“Knowing that these trigger happy ICE thugs operate with seeming impunity in their midst, are still willing to put themselves in harms way to defend their community. Their resistance is an inspiration to us all.”
