British band GANG OF FOUR wrote history with their explosive debut LP
Entertainment! back in 1979. After 4 albums, they called it a day in 1984.
From there on, several reunions followed, with co-founder and
singer/lyricist Jon King returning between 2004 and 2011.
Then, brilliant, innovative guitarist Andy Gill, who sadly passed away
in 2020, aged 64, due to the COVID-19 virus, led GOF with another
new singer.
Last year, the band came back once more with Jon King again and original
drummer Hugo Burnham for a farewell tour. They said, “this is the last headline
tour in the US and Europe. But we will play a small run of select shows or a one-off
event in the future.”
Out of the blue, they now dropped a new single, called NO KINGS HERE!
Inspired by the recent anti-Trump protests in America under the banner
No Kings.
It’s an amazeballs stunner of a track. Vintage Gang Of Four.
Funk punk frenzy. Adrenaline for headbangers and bass junks.
