SLEEP TOKEN, the mysterious industrial post-metal phenomenon from London who
claim to be united in their worship of an ancient deity identified by them as ‘Sleep‘,
who appeared to the band’s ominous lead singer Vessel, and wear masks are hotter
than ever.

Since their 2019 debut album, Sundowning on, they have built a massive fan base, and their brand-new fourth LP, EVEN IN ARCADIA, will even enlarge the countless number of supporters.

TUTV: I understand the huge appeal of this prog-metal rock phenomena.
Sleep Token look/sound bigger than normal life. There’s a mysterious, mythical,
medieval-goth-like, aura that surrounds them and their bombastic and theatrical
wall-of-Herculean sound is quite overwhelming.

It works for me too, but just for a couple of tunes. Problem: their songs are all
constructed the same way. The first part is melodic, meditative, spooky and the
harbinger for the second part, a tormenting death metal assault. Yes, sonically
impressive. But this process repeats itself for the full 56 minutes, which makes
me get bored halfway. The power of repetition can be imposing, but not here,
at least not for me.

than ever.

A couple of weeks ago details of their 4th LP came in.
It’s titled Even In Arcadia and slated for release on
May 9th.

With DAMOCLES they offer taster #4. em>Sleep Token do not surprise any more.
It’s, another power pop ballad turning into a huge metal ballad. Their countless fans
will love it and sing along word by word.

claim to be united in their worship of an ancient deity identified by them as ‘Sleep‘,
who appeared to the band’s ominous lead singer Vessel and wear masks, are hotter
than ever.

Two years ago they unleashed their 3rd album Take Me Back To Eden. Then
the outlandish oddballs went on a huge tour with sold-out arenas all around
Europe. Their spaced-out commotion, on record and on stage, made them even
bigger stars than they already were.

And album number 4, titled EVEN IN ARCADIA is canned

TUTV: Another simple, passionate, power pop melody that heads slowly but surely
to a freakish outbreak. I don’t really understand why they’re as massive as they are,
as they don’t reinvent the bombastic prog-metal-rock wheel, but it works and their
millions of fans love it, and that is what matters.

SLEEP TOKEN, the mysterious industrial post-metal sensation from London who claim to be united in their worship of an ancient deity identified by them as ‘Sleep‘, who appeared to the band’s ominous lead singer Vessel and wear masks are back from being not really away.

Two years ago they unleashed their 3rd album Take Me Back To Eden. Then the madcap eccentrics went on a massive tour with sold-out arenas all around Europe. All the spaced-out commotion, on record and on stage, made them even bigger stars than they already were.

And they’ll go even more nuclear with LP number 4.
It’s baptized EVEN IN ARCADIA and lands on May 9th.

First single EMERGENCE is a perfect example of their multi-varied credo. They mix prog-rock, symphonic pop melodies, industrial drones and gigantic metal thunder seamlessly into a 6 and half minutes, bombastic, symphonic Götterdämmerung opera. Holy Moses.

Last year they shared Herculian noizzz experiences with their 2nd album This Place Will
Become Your Tomb. And this year’s follow-up baptized Take Me Back To Eden made them global metal stars.

Last weekend, they played at the gigantic Wembley Arena in their hometown of London.
The show sold out faster than you can say fuck Putin. Despite it’s winter, despite it’s cold the fans were along with the band on fire.

ancient deity identified by them as ‘Sleep‘, who appeared to the band’s ominous
lead singer, Vessel.

will make them global metal stars.

NME says: “The mysterious group have become one of the scene’s most talked-about
bands. Their latest album more than justifies the intrigue… Doubters dismissed their
shadowy anonymity and eclectic sound as a gimmick, but this band’s star isn’t burning out. Their unpredictability, more than ever, is part of their very essence, and there’s a lot here that seasoned Sleep Token fans will recognise as unchartered territory. TUTV: What Sleep Token do is not new, they didn’t reinvent the metal wheel. But their imaginative mix of all things monumental metallica is wholly worth exploring even if
you’re not a fanatic fan of the genre, like me. Their towering classical melodies, their massive quiet/Loud/quiet orchestrations, their jawdropping mood-swing eruptions
and their bombastic and theatrical trickery combine for an overwhelming opus.

SLEEP TOKEN is a mysterious industrial post-metal phenom from London.
The band members wear masks and claim to be united in their worship of an
ancient deity identified by them as ‘Sleep‘, who appeared to the band’s ominous
lead singer, Vessel.

Last year they caused might sonic waves with their 2nd album This Place Will
Become Your Tomb. And as a loud and clear harbinger for their upcoming headline
tour they open 2023 with a new, standalone single/clip named THE SUMMONING.

It’s a bloody hell of a slo-mo rollercoaster that starts with a titanic wall of
industrial drones followed by surprising turns, forth and back, until Vessel‘s
infernal vocals take over for a roaring finale.
