Chicago‘s bombastic veteran rockers THE SMASHING PUMPKINS
orchestrated by Billy Corgan are ready to make new noise in 2023.

Next year, on 23 April, they’ll launch a new longplayer, named
ATUM: A Rock Opera In Three Acts with no less than 33 songs,
which will be revealed one at a time chronologically via a new
podcast called Thirty-Three With Billy Corgan leading up to the
album’s distribution.

The lead single is a piece named BEGUILED.
A mid-tempo banger with a rotating heavy metal riff.

C’mon, Billy, smash it…

COMING SOON! Double LP ‘CYR’ By BILLY CORGAN And His SMASHING PUMPKINS

The long-awaited double album CYR by SMASHING PUMPKINS comes are way on
27th November. It’s the band’s 11th LP, directed by star producer Rick Rubin.

Original members James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and Jeff Schroeder joined general Billy Corgan again, who said: “In many ways, this is the first real album, since the reunion, where we’ve hunkered down and made a classic. Let’s throw it all at the wall and see what happens.”

So far the band shared no less
than 8 of the 20 songs.

SMASHING PUMPKINS – Another Pair Of Songs From Upcoming Album ‘CYR’

New sonic impulses…

The new SMASHING PUMPKINS album (a double one) called CYR will
be for sale from 27 November on. Ringleader Billy Corgan produced the
records and James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and Jeff Schroeder joined him
in the studio.

The band already dropped two songs. The title track and ‘The Colour Of Love’ and
here’s another pair. CONFESSIONS OF A DOPAMINE ADDICT is an introspective
synth-scape ballad and WRATH comes from the same mellow angle with dreamy
Corgan vocals.

SMASHING PUMPKINS Release A New Double LP Called ‘CYR’ In November

The SMASHING PUMPKINS unleashed two new pieces a few
weeks ago: ‘Cyr’ and ‘The Colour Of Love‘ (listen below).

Just now the band has announced that a new double LP titled CYR will
see the day of light on 27 November. The LP is produced by Billy Corgan
and features Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and Jeff Schroeder.
