Kristy Marlana Wallace, aka POISON IVY
in San Bernardino, CA on 20 February 1953.

Happy 70 to one of the most charismatic Amazons in rock history. She claimed she dreamed up her artist name and was first named Poison Ivy Rorschach, taking her last name from that of the inventor of the Rorschach test).

Great guitarist, utterly cool pin-up star, and widow to Lux Interior (born: Erick Lee Purkhiser) with whom she formed legendary psychobilly band The Cramps (1976-2009).

Together they fabricated 8 studio albums, with Ivy as co-writer of all Cramps, songs and punked-sexed-steamed-up crazy crowds all over the world with their sultry and electrifying shows.

Following Interior‘s death in 2009 the band
called it a day and Ivy got out of the public eye.
