TOM PETTY Released First Solo Album ‘FULL FEVER MOON’ 30 Years Ago Today…

FULL FEVER MOON was TOM PETTY‘s first LP without The Heartbreakers although it features collaborations with some of them and also contributions by Traveling Wilburys‘ mates Roy Orbison (who died some months before its release), George Harrison and Jeff Lyne. It was released 30 years ago today, on 24 April 1989. The longplayer was a big success peaking at #3 on the U.S. Albums Chart and hitting #8 in the UK.

Tom Petty who passed away too soon, only 66, last Sunday. Their cover of the legend’s classic AMERICAN GIRL is offered as a pay-what-you-want download on Bandcamp. Details here.
