Psychedelic Extravaganza – Los Angeles’ TOMBSTONES IN THEIR EYES Collected

1 December 2020

Band: TOMBSTONES IN THEIR EYES
Who: Pysch-rock outfit from Los Angeles recently transformed itself to
a trio now consisting of John Treanor (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Stephen
Striegel
(drums, percussion) and Josh Drew(bass).

Album: COLLECTION
Released: 27 November 2020

Info: ‘Collection’ is a double album. With its anthology-like nature, this timely
collection offers 19 sonorous and hazy tracks. The songs are personal, exploring
the writer’s feelings, doubts, fears, and hopes. This compilation brings together select
tracks from past releases, including their 2015 debut album Sleep Forever, their EPs
Bad Clouds, Fear and Nothing Here, and stand-alone single Shutting Down.

Turn Up The Volume‘s reflections: Expect psychedelic extravaganza with colorful
sonic paintings, mind-binding-trance-inducing jams, shoegaze waves, and chimerical orchestrations. A varied series of multi-layered reveries and grooves. From early Pink Floyd echoes to electrical Spiritualized gospels, from The Brian Jonestown Massacre drones to trippy My Bloody Valentine turbulence. Time to go sky-high.

Three key tracks/videos: I Can’t See The Light / Shutting Down / Maybe Someday

– I CAN’T SEE THE LIGHT –

– OPEN SKIES –

– SHUTTING DOWN –

OUT NOW! Second Stellar Album By LA Pysch Rockers TOMBSTONES IN THEIR EYES – Here’s ‘MAYBE SOMEDAY’…

Just released

17 November 2019

Band: Tombstones In Their Eyes

Who: A psych/shoegaze/rock and roll band from Los Angeles comprised of John Treanor (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Mike Mason (bass, backing vocals), Josh Drew (guitar, backing vocals), and Stephen Striegel (drums, percussion)

Album: Maybe Someday – released 15 November 2019 – the band’s second LP

Sound: A mind-expanding collection of magnetizing psych and shoegaze paintings.
The record’s overall huge wall-of-hypnotizing-sound drags you slowly but surely into an otherworldly place where intoxicating symphonies, mostly meditative, multi-layered slow-mo compositions with a cinematic twilight tone release you from the daily grind of reality for a while. From early Pink Floyd to The Black Angels and countless, similar influences in between, this band covers a timeless genre of music that always excites when performed tremendously well, like right here.

Californian Psych Rockers TOMBSTONES IN THEIR EYES With New Wall-Of-Hypnotic Sound Track ‘SILHOUETTE’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

27 June 2018

tomb

These Los Angeles noiseniks tested the flexibility of Turn Up The Volume‘s headphones before and their brand new wall-of-hypnotic-sound escapade, titled SILHOUETTE does
the trick over again. This 5-headed kaleidoscopic force grabs you by the ears from the
very start with layers of magnetizing psych turbulence that infiltrates your bloodstream without asking.  Like a bang-up slo-mo Black Rebel Motorcycle Club outburst mixed with the darksome  orchestrations of The Black Angels. I guess this time my poor headphones will surrender, certainly if I keep on turning up the decibels with every spin, as I’m doing now for the past 30 minutes. I just love it when this kind of prodigious symphonies take over your mind. Try it for yourself right here, right loud…
