NYC’s celebs INTERPOL and London‘s indie stars
BLOC PARTY both announced new music earlier
on.

Interpol will have their 8th LP, titled The Mirrors Weighs A Ton
out on August 28th. Tracklist and pre-order info here.

BILLY IDOL (born William Michael Albert Broad in London, 70 years ago)
has 9 solo LPs under his belt, last year’s Dream Into It album, as his most
recent one.

In August/September, he’ll travel around the US for
a series of concerts with oldtimers Devo as one of
his guests.

Iconic hard rockers DEEP PURPLE have been around for ages. Their 24th LP,
named Splat! arrives on July 3rd. They’re starting their European tour today,
and it’ll keep them busy until November.

In the past few years, you could see rock titans GUNS N’ ROSES somewhere on this planet. And no pause. They’re about one third in this year’s run, with the UK/Europe and US dates coming next.

Muscular British rock topliners NOTHING BUT THIEVES just announced the upcoming birth of their 5th full-length. It’s named Stray Dogs and will arrive on September 25th.

JOURNEY – For The Last Time

Symphonic hard rock giants JOURNEY (1973–1987, 1995–present) went through several line-up changes over the years. Only original member left is guitarist/songwriter Neal Schon.


Now

They sold more than 100 million albums and were
inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.

The band just announced dates for their final tour.

Their biggest hit, unquestionably, is Don’t Stop Believin’ from 1981.
As of today it has more than 2,8 billion streams on Spotify.

Last year the Smashing Pumpkins‘s commander in chief Billy Corgan
celebrated the 30th anniversary (25 October 2025) of masterstroke LP
Mellon Collie And Infinite Sadness with some spectacular, orchestral
and big choir shows in the US.

Now, UK and European dates are announced for the grandiose operation.

Pennsylvania‘s legendary big shot TODD RUNGREN ,
aged 77, had a remarkable career, which is far from
over.

His latest LP, called Space Force already dates from 2022,
but the musical centipede is unstoppable on the road (as I
witnessed last year in Brussels, formidable show).

New dates announced for North America and Europe.

For Los Angeles grunge rock shedevils L7 (1985–2001, 2014–present)
it will be their farewell tour.

Frontwoman Donita Sparks told Pitchfork: “When L7 decided to release a documentary
in 2015, we thought maybe we would take one last victory lap around the sun by playing some shows. Instead, that lap turned into eleven more years of touring, sweat, new music, and reconnecting with the fans. We are deeply grateful and ready to give our audiences one last, loud, fun, and hopefully unforgettable night of rock & roll.”

Soft Cell, plus former Yazoo voice Alison Moyet will fly together to
the US.

The Imperishable SPARKS Brothers Can’t Stop – New Tour Dates

The brothers Ron (79) and Russell Mael (76), known to the world as SPARKS
are around since 1966. Yes, that’s 60 years and no sign of retirement. Music
is the dominant element in their DNA. They can’t stop, neither in the studio
nor on stage.

One year ago they released their 28th album, called MAD!, went on the road,
launched a 4-track EP, named Madder!, took a break after a couple of months
touring and are now fit again to play live.
