TWIST HELIX Raves About Their City That Doesn’t Sleep – Here’s ‘NEWCASTLE’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

1 October 2018

Some weeks ago electro force TWIST HELIX released feverish cracker Graphite and
the trio has no intention to slow down. We can already enjoy a fresh new single from
the band’s upcoming LP. With NEWCASTLE they deliver another 24 Karat corker.

After a short, smooth piano intro with Bea Garcia‘s vivid vox on top of it, the song
raises proudly and turns into a riveting symphony. Its anthemic and high-spirited
energy gives you goosebumps. This is a stirring pop pearl with a big beating heart.
Here’s the homage to the trio’s beloved city…

.
This city’s not sleeping, it’s dreaming.
Its silence long until the dawn.
Its river waits in slumber,
Worn and tired lumbers,
Flock to docks and to its old quarters,
Artists’ hearts tided on like the waters.

This city’s not dreaming, it’s believing.
A great city wakes in wonder,
long hibernation over,
Flock to docks and to its old quarters,
Artists’ hearts tided on like the waters.

This city’s not believing, now it’s living.
A people proud in number,
Draw now to discover,
Flock to docks and to its old quarters,
Artists’ hearts tided on like the waters.

Electro Pop Dynamo TWIST HELIX Scores With Feverish New Single ‘GRAPHITE’…

Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

10 September 2018

TWIST HELIX is a passionate British electro alt-pop trio out of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Their new single GRAPHITE is “a song about frustration and articulates a fear that
many artists have that their own work is derivative. The song imagines an artist
failing to give an original interpretation of the city’s landscape.”

Graphite is a wholehearted passion injected synths power stroke. Ardent, blazing and totally infectious. An anxious crackerjack strongly intensified by frontwoman Bea Garcia‘s vox – from vigorous to reflective and back – that will draw your attention forthwith. Her cutting potency is just amazing. Capture the jumpy avidity right here…

Bridges shown with setting sun,
no thoughts come, it’s been done.

Pencil, bite, tooth to graphite,
can’t write tonight, run dry.
No thoughts excite, reach valley height,
leave behind the quayside.
Give me vodka, give me wine,
give me one more good time.
New tempo, go to a show, go to where the water flows

GRAPHITE is available via Bandcamp and iTunes

Jubilant Electro Trio TWIST HELIX From Newcastle Upon Tyne Glorifies ‘OUSEBURN’…

Sonic vibes that thrill us in a way we want to scream out loud…

16 February 2018

Band: TWIST HELIX
Home: Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK
Who: “Trio born out of the hip bars and rundown rehearsal rooms of Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley, fascinated with the exploration of place and its relation to creativity and identity and drawing influence from their immediate surroundings the band have worked hard to create an effervescent and joyous sound, evocative of the diverse energy and character of their home.”
Track: OUSEBURN – brand new single that “pays homage to the group’s humble DIY beginnings. The track is highly allusive, referencing everything from local bands to graffiti
tags that you can find around the Ouseburn area.”

Score: I’m sure you’ll do the very same thing after hearing this rhapsodic electro rainbow as I did. You’ll google ‘Ouseburn‘ to find out why this trio glorifies this place. Oh yes, the electronic buzz developed here will enlighten your day, will activate the muscles in your body and will make you curious about this hip Newcastle spot which sounds like this…
