Last week DEAP LIPS, the awesome collaboration between surreal fairytale addicts
THE FLAMING LIPS and steamy blues rock tandem DEAP VALLY, unleashed their
fabulous self-titled debut album. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the coolest longplayers of the year.

The supergroup launched an intoxicating video clip for one of the tracks, their spaced-
out cover version of ‘THE PUSHER‘, an anti-dope-dealer song by born to be wild rockers Steppenwolf . Open your mind, eyes and ears and fly eight miles high…

Hefty rockers FALSE HEADS, from the outskirts of East London, finally release their
debut album called IT’S ALL THERE BUT YOU’RE DREAMING. The band says “It’s a manifestation of the last four to ten years of our lives. We have thrown everything we
have into this. It’s personal, impersonal, bleak, life-affirming, inward and outward.”

Prior to the release the trio just shared a dazzling live footage clip for smoking single ‘RABBIT HOLE’. A thunderous slam driven by a relentlessly thumping drum/bass force, chainsaw guitars sounding like a siren, in your face vocals and a red-hot-blooded chorus. Titanic thwack! Blaring stroke!

Who: “S O R O R was created on a foggy day as only Brussels can make them. Women were cooking exquisite pies (well actually two of ’em, the other one was just eating) when suddenly
a car crashed in the kitchen and a drunk ex-convict got out of it. As the four of them met, a nuclear fusion happened and a sound full of sweat and taste came out of their armpits..
With such a description I already love them!

A couple of weeks ago brisk Canadian rockers JAMES BLONDE
dropped new single A HUNDRED BUCKS.

Turn Up The Volume wrote: “This a tremendously ardent and fervent humdinger with

Belgian indie rock trio VVYNN (read: win) released last December two new stirring
tracks, ‘Exhale‘ reminding me of PJ Harvey’s deep digging intensity and ‘Moaning’, a poignant introspection causing goosebumps. Two affecting, amplified musings lifting
the band to a higher and must hear level.

Last month they launched a graceful and expressive clip for EXHALE and recently
an equally emotive video went online for MOANING. Check it out below…

It’s almost seven years since grunge icons PEARL JAM released their tenth LP Lighting Bolt. Finally, last week, the band announced a brand new album called ‘GIGATON’, out 27th March. More info here.

After the dynamic and funky lead single of the record, titled ‘Dance Of The Clairvoyants‘ the band dropped a new piece titled ‘Superblood Wolfmoon‘ a few days ago. A stormy rocker with Eddie Vedder dominating again with his mighty and passionate vox. Today a cool animated video went online.

Belgian indie rock trio VVYNN (read : win) made a firm impact with their first two
EPs. Crumble in 2017 and Lux released last year. Last December the band returned
with two new tracks ‘Exhale’ and ‘Moaning’ with the first one being my favourite as
‘Exhale‘ reveals the most clearly this ambitious three-piece’s great sonic step forward.

It’s a tower of a song reminding me of PJ Harvey’s‘s electrifying intensity, her spine-tingling voice and her opinionated and astounding way of writing songs. Yes, ‘Exhale‘
is equally mettlesome, exhilarating and lifelike with frontwoman Angie‘s fervent vox
shining as never before. Top stroke!

To visualize ‘Exhale‘ the band shared a graceful,
expressive and evocative video clip.

Flaming Irish indie rockers FONTAINES D.C. released one of the best albums of 2019 with their smashing debut LP ‘DOGREL. The band decided to share a new video for one of the top tracks ‘LIBERTY BELLE‘ as so much has changed since they made the original clip. It’s full of live footage from their stormy gigs. I saw them playing twice last year and I can assure you they’re one of the best live bands around.
