Who: Finnish electro-metal
quartet formed in 2010.

Track: ABATTOIR (CHOSEN)

The 2nd single taken from their self-titled 4th LP, due out in October 2025.

It presents the band with a renewed yet familiar sound: cinematic soundscapes, apocalyptic samples, down-tuned grooves and heavier-than-hell guitars meet with
lead vocalist Riku Rinta-Seppälä‘s fatalistic lyrics, which he interprets through rapping, toasting and growling.

TUTV: What the fuck! After a bouncy synth-y intro, all metal-hell breaks loose like if Doomsday has begun. You get crushed by tormenting drones. Think Nine Inch Nails teaming up with Rage Against The Machine for a volcanic brainbreaker.

The vigorous vocalist Rinta-Seppälä sounds not like he wants to be your friend.
He has iron pipes with a demonic resonance. On the other hand you’d better be
friendly to the drummer before he beats your skull in and, for your own safety,
don’t argue with the apocalyptic guitarist. I guess you get the sonic picture by
now. Yes, satanically loud!

7th full-length, titled The Hives Forever, Forever The Hives and out
on 29th August. More info here.

Beastie boy Mike D and Queens Of The Stone Age
frontman Josh Homme guest on the record.

With the title track the rad rockers present us the 4th single (stream all below).
Without a doubt, the best (so far). Pop-ier (sort of) than the others. Mind you
there are still enough rip-roaring riffs to share with the whole neighborhood.
And the cooking chorus is on-target.

Who: Hefty Los Angeles hardcore team, who
released their debut LP Life Under The Gun.

Lead single from their forthcoming 2nd LP,
named God Save The Gun, out on October 17th.

Ian Shelton frontman about the album: “I’m well aware that being this vulnerable turns
my personal trauma into a marketing hook for this album. But I’m fine with it, if not provoking it.

Over the past couple years, as I spoke about addiction from the perspective of someone affected by it, I became the one struggling with it. There’s a farcical logic to entering a situation, fully knowing the consequences, and doing it anyway – but that’s where my head was when I started leaning on drinking.”

Watch out, folks, these clamorous dropouts shoot from the hip. BADIDEA is a rapid-fire bullet aiming at your stereo. Ablaze guitars, a frantic drummer, and hysterical vocals. Like a wake-up nightmare.

I guess the crumpets take the same performance-enhancing pills as their prolific compatriots King Gizzard é The Lizard Wizard. Only last May they launched their 7th longplayer Carpe Diem, Moonman and, already, on October 29th number eight,
called Pogo Radio will drop on your stereo.

TUTV: Manny’s Ready To Roll explodes in your face from the kick-off and then makes
your head rotate uncontrollably. It’s a steaming switchback stunner, going left & right, forth & back, up & down and leaves you behind, out of breath. No chance whatsoever
to resist this high-voltage projectile. Wake up, all you lazy bastards out there and rock hard.

Band: BABYMETAL
Who: The Japanese Kawaii metal trio, that blends elements of
heavy metal and J-pop that was pioneered in Japan in the early
2010s sensation.

Baby Metal is often credited with the
creation and success of Kawaii metal.

I know they’re a corporate-controlled band using session musicians in
the studio. But (there’s always a but) they write almost all of their songs
and have a huge impact and involvement in producing the sound they
want.

Anyway, I really dig their mind-blowing ballyhoo,
their glamorous look, and their confident attitude.

Last Frida,y they launched their 5th LP,
named Metal Forth (stream it below).

The same day, they also shared a new video clip for monstrous single
MY QUEEN, which features Canadian metal act Spiritbox‘ vociferous
vocalist Courtney LaPlante. Watch it below.

since 1988 (yep, time flies). No and then they took a long break to refill their tanks.

It’s been 5 years now since they
released their Ohms album.

is ready to attack their fans’ speakers
from August 22nd on.
