Band: PUNCHBAG

Who: A new electrifying brother-sister duo- Clara and Anders Bach – from
South London colliding the raw unfiltered energy of punk, with the overflowing
ecstasy of pop. With fierce tempos and ferocious energy, their music is an
explosively cathartic release of raw intensity and unapologetic fun.

Track: I LOVE THIS!
New single. It follows their piping hot 4-track debut EP
I’m Not Your Punchbag, released last May.

Clara: “I guess you could see this song as an anti-depression anthem! You can hear
the highest highs and the lowest lows — almost like it’s soundtracking the extreme
sport of everyday life.

Because sometimes it really is an extreme sport, so the highs should be celebrated.
Getting through a shit phase should be danced about! With synths, a dance tempo,
and something to shout! All that positive stuff.”

Wake up people!
Prepare for a runaway
electro punk train!
KO in 3 minutes!

KEVIN PARKER And TAME IMPALA Are Back With Old Skool EBM Tune You Can Dance To Until The ‘END OF SUMMER’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

25 July 2025

Press photo by Julian Klincewicz

It has been already 5 years since one-man-dance-pop-band TAME IMPALA
released its 4th LP THE SLOW RUSH. Since then singer-songwriter and
multi-instrumentalist KEVIN PARKER focused on writing film music.

But the wait is over for the millions of TA fans.

New single END OF SUMMER pounds like a heartbeat in overdrive for
7-plus-minutes with Parker‘s helium vocals floating all over it. An old
skool dancefloor filler, a familiar disco killer.

Wake up people,
here comes a fast
rush of blood to
the head.

NATION OF LANGUAGE – Brooklyn’s Electro Pop Trio With Trippy Vocal Pearl ‘UNDER WATER’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

24 July 2025

Band: NATION OF LANGUAGE
Who: Productive electro-pop trio from Brooklyn,
who released 3 albums in 3 years and have another
one canned.

Track: UNDER WATER
3rd single from their 4th LP, entitled Dance Called Memory.
It comes our way on 19 September via Sub Pop Records.

Ian Devaney (frontman): “We’d always had a lot of enthusiasm for the track,
but the studio schedule had gotten a bit unwieldy over the holidays and an arbitrary
deadline had been set to be done with LP4 prior to leaving for a January tour in Australia supporting IDLES.

Before soundchecks on the other side of the planet we hooked up all the synths we’d brought with us in the greenroom, remotely concocting the version you hear now. If it somehow sounds distinctly of the southern hemisphere, now you’ll all know why.”

A sweet, trippy vocal pearl, with some
Perfume Genius echoes. Arresting feat.

Wake up, people,
a nightingale
flies around in
your bedroom.

SLOAN – Canadian Rock Seniors Offer Glam Groover ‘DREAM DESTROYER’ From Their New Upcoming Album

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

23 July 2025

Canadian guitar rock seniors SLOAN started their journey
back in 1991 and became one of the best-selling bands of
Canada over the years.

They have finished the recordings of album #14.
Titled Based On The Bestseller it’ll make their
fans happy when it lands on 25 September.

The newest single DREAM DESTROYER is a 60s inspired glam
riff-rocker propelled by a T. Rex groove and Slash (60 today) solo.

Patrick Pentland (guitarist and Irish born): “Combining my/our love of
glam, shoegaze, and power pop, the song is an ode to lost love, past mistakes,
and the recklessness that has been the blueprint of my life, for better or worse.
Worse in terms of relationships, better in terms of fodder for hit songs. A door
slams shut, a window smashes open.”

Wake up people, your dreams
are cancelled. Back to reality,
back to rawk ‘n’ roll.

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

22 July 2025

Band: GOOD CHARLOTTE
Who: Towering rock celebs from Maryland, US
who celebrate their 30th birthday this year.

Track: STEPPER
Newest single from their forthcoming 8th album, their first in
7 years. They named it Model Du Cap and arrives on August 8th.

The past few years some American, ear-splitting, veteran bands made
a comeback with new music (Linkin Park, Staind, Helmet, The Jesus Lizard,
Godsmack, Body Count
and several more).

And now Maryland Good Charlotte join the returning ranks.

The 2nd appetizer from their upcoming LP. On STEPPER they apply their
winning success formula of jacking up catchy melodies, thunderous enough
to challenge the Scale of Richter. Keep up the good work, guys.

BRAINWASHER – Two Flaming Lips Creep Into Your Head With Their Psychedelic Serpent ‘AT LEAST IT BEATS AN ACTOR’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

21 July 2025

Band: BRAINWASHER
Who: New psychedelic project featuring Matthew Duckworth Kirksey and
Tommy McKenzie, longtime collaborator of Oklahoma stars The Flaming Lips .

They will share their debut album 39 Lightyears from Heaven
with the world on October 25th. You can pre-order here.

Info: “It’s 10-piece sonic essay where offbeat rock meets distorted electronica.
Informed by early trip-hop, whether through otherworldly textures or distinctive surges into double-rhythms, augmented by a risquée, new wave-like approach to arrangements, and complete with lightly eerie vocals reminiscent of shoegaze, the duo’s postmodern psychedelic variations showcase infectious melodies beautifully warped through sheer production ingenuity.”

The first single AT LEAST IT BEATS AN ACTOR is a 60s inspired
psychedelic slo-mo serpent that creeps in your head, slowly but
surely. Bass, drums and guitar are on a mind-blowing mission,
while distorted vocals add a surreal effect. Haywire stroke.

The Lips‘ frontman Wayne Coyne directed the video.

NINE INCH NAILS Scored New Movie Soundtrack – Hear Drill Hammer ‘AS ALIVE AS YOU NEED ME TO BE’

Daily noise that works faster than a stream of caffeine

18 July 2025

NINE INCH NAILS bandmates, frontman Trent Reznor and multi-instrumentalist
Atticus Ross spend most of their time, lately, together scoring series soundtracks
under their own names.

They wrote their newest one for the upcoming, 3rd installment of
the science fiction Tron series, titled Tron: Ares. It premieres on
October 2025.

This one is credited to Nine Inch Nails (will sell better I guess).

The first taster of that soundtrack is named
AS ALIVE AS YOU NEED ME TO BE and it’s
100% NIN. An ominous hammer drill.

Wake up people,
rub your eyes
the film is about
to start.

With a bit of time on their hands in-between
they started touring again, since June.

UPCHUCK – High-Voltage Atlanta Punks Swipe Twice With Two New Buzzers From Upcoming LP

17 July 2025

Band: UPCHUCK
Who: High-voltage punks
from Atlanta, Georgia.

They have canned their third LP. They named it I’m Nice Now (really?).
It was produced by mister TY Segall and will show up on October 3.

Press info: Upchuck channels their feverishness into an album that,
yes, is filled with rage. But in addition to being a continuation of their
musical exorcism, the album delivers a sharp critique of the powers
that be, lamenting why they still have to be those in power.

Album artwork

A month ago they unleashed a first
taster with haymakerPlastic.

And here come another duo of brutal
guitar-drum dominating punches.
