Daily fuel to load your sonic batteries…

Pittsburgh-born and L.A. based singer/producer Karen Mould aka BITCH, former half
of feminist alt-folk duo Bitch And Animal, is back with a new firecracker after more
than a decade. And what a return! NEW YEAR is a gigantic electro banger.
Bitch explains what the song is all about: “It’s about empowerment. It’s about claiming who you are, and letting go of patterns that no longer serve you. So much of our language is built
on empowering men, and part of my life’s work has been to make sure we’re also empowering women. To me ‘New Year’ is very much a celebration. It’s about taking stock of what the world has done to us and what we’ve bought into, and then plunging forward into the new year with
a new sense of boldness, like, “Here I fucking am. I am the woman.”
I’m with Bitch‘s positive intentions for the future. Despite the awfully troubled times we live in, despite the unmistakable fact that the world is dangerously divided we should keep on believing that change is possible. And with ‘New Year’ she provided the fitting anthem to go out and fight for our right to be treated as humans again, regardless of one’s color, beliefs or sexuality. Imagine all the streets filled with ecstatic people dancing euphorically to this awesome bang-up knockout! We need hope and faith to survive and here’s the booming soundtrack to get us in the right state of mind and soul. C’mon, ladies and gents, press the button and shake your booty…
