‘Made Of Stone‘ by THE STONE ROSES

The stellar lead single of their eponymous debut album – one of the best longplayers
ever to Turn Up The Volume‘s ears – ‘Made Of Stone‘ was released 30 years ago today,
on 6 March 1989, but didn’t chart. The lovely ‘Going Down‘, a tribute to expressionist painter Jackson Pollok was on the B-side. The single came out on their first, small,
record label Silvertone Records and became a Roses classic over the years.
