Welsh daydreamers RED TELEPHONE already got Turn Up The Volume‘s attention with previous amorous singles Victoria Park and Day Off. The trio has another new one coming up, entitled I’M ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT YOU, officially out 28st June.

A song that “captures the disorientation of a new infatuation and delves into the mental anguish and uncertainty that accompanies it.”

Again the combination of compelling melodiousness, richly layered orchestrations – including a Manic Street Preachers like guitar solo – and Declan Andrews‘ gripping voice works pretty remarkable. His reflective vox balances between the moody timber of Peter Perrett, former frontman of new wavish legends The Only Ones and the sensuous high-pitched vocals of Welshman Green Gartside, mastermind of the 70s/80s pop act Scritti Politti.
