Influential Cult Band – Retrospective Singles Edition By TV PERSONALITIES Out 26 September

7 August 2020

Influential London psych post-punks THE TELEVIONS PERSONALITIES were formed in 1977 by masterind Daniel Treacy. Their impressive catalogue was a tremendous source
of inspiration for open-minded bands such as Pavement, The Jesus And Mary Chain, MGMT and many more and still has an impact on artists who want to take a walk on the wild side. An important cult band forever. Yesterday, today and tomorrow.

On Record Store Day (26th September) Fire Records
releases ‘Some Kind Of Happiness?’ Singles 1994-1999.

A two-disc retrospective of every single track released by The Television Personalities between the tail end of 1994 and 1999. All in a lavish package with extensive sleeve notes and unseen photograph, featuring legendary songwriter Dan Treacy, a gifted storyteller who places the world in his own hazy shade of focus, heading deep into introspection.

While waiting for the release Turn Up The Volume
picked three gems that will be on the retrospective…

– NOT LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE – (1994)

– THE BOY WHO COULDN’T STOP DREAMING – (1994)

– NOW THAT I’M A JUNKIE – (1996)
