Smooth Sultry Soul Swinger – BOOGIE BELGIQUE With New Vibe ‘PEPPER’S GHOST’

Posted on by JL

New striking strokes

23 June 2022

Who: BOOGIE BELGIQUE
Who: Belgian – Antwerp roots, Brussel based – team with cool motto:
“Why follow rules when a more personal approach is far more tantalizing?”

Between 2016 and 2019 Boogie Belgique roamed the world. Fruitful times, in which Boogie Belgique became a much-appreciated festival-band, leading to a great deal of Spotify-listeners and Youtube-subscriptions. With the self-produced and DIY-EP ‘Prelude to a Machine’, the band showed their craftsmanship. The EP was – exactly what the title suggests – a prelude to the next album. Due to the pandemic, the plans to release this album were postponed. Yet, since Boogie Belgique does not like to ‘just go with the pandemic flow’, they decided to record and release the EP Lure Of Little Voices, a cooperation with Ian Urbina, A New York journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner. Meanwhile, Boogie Belgique is working hard to finalize their fifth full album, and eager to play again. After months of self-isolation – and a lot of remote recording sessions – the band cannot wait to ‘go out and play’. High time to mount the stage.

But first new single PEPPER’S GHOST. A smooth, sultry soul swinger with
an immediate impact on your hips. A twinkling tune with a seductive vinid
vibe. An instrumental piña colada cocktail flavored with echoes of Sade, Chic,
Röyskopp and Daft Punk all in one with Boogie Belgique‘s  sonic charateristics
making this piece one of their own. Make some room, move your furniture
and follow the beat.

Irish Psychedelic Act THE BARBITURATES Sooth Your Dreams With Two New Gems Feat. Vocalist SIÂNNA

Posted on by JL

Daily electricity to load your batteries

23 June 2022

Band: THE BARBITURATES
Who: A grungy psychedelic occult postpunk
Dadaist Guerrilla D.I.Y ontology discordian
skizophonic rock band from Derry city Ireland.

After going totally mental on their jawdropping post-psych-punk mishmash
album Selection Box #1 last February these Irish mavericks surprise once
again with two new un-mental jams. Two laid-back lullabies with an instant
soothing effect.

Pop psychedelia for dreamy moments when the sun goes down. Guest singer
Siânna adds a spot-on sensual touch while the music ripples softly like a rill.
Sonically, the two pieces resonate a bit like Sonic Youth in slow motion or
The Velvet Underground on a Sunday Morning.

Two ideal barbiturates for the twilight hours. Two relaxing gems.

Eye-catching video clips

Canadian songstress TESS PARKS released new album ‘AND THOSE WHO WERE SEEN DANCING’ last April. The title refers to a quote by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche:
“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear
the music.”

A new video for my favorite track I SEE ANGELS is now on rotation on YouTube.

Watch the angel dance…

Waking Up With… New Tantalizing GORILLAZ Tune

Works faster than caffeine

23 June 2022

Gorillaz kicked off their world tour in Uruguay last April. That night,
they played  two new songs, of which one is called CRACKER ISLAND.

The band just shared the recently recorded studio version, and is now
streaming all over the Internet. Orchestrator Albarn invited bass player
Thundercat to play along.

It’s a tantalizing feel-good tune. It’s pure Gorillaz…

TÖRZS – Hungarian Post Punk Trio Impresses With New Flabbergasting Instrumental ‘ATFORDUL’

Band: TÖRZS
Who: The biggest instrumental post-rock band in Hungary.

New single: Átfordul (Live at Bükk)

Turn Up The Volume: If your a fan of Scottish sound-crusaders Mogwai then
this radiant Hungarian trio will be your next favourite band. Their new cinematic composition Átfordul has the psychedelic power and slo-mo groove characteristics :
of those celebrated Scots. Its magnific guitar euphony goes forth and back with
ardent flare-ups now and then. It’s an orchestral exploit progressing with grace
for over seven flabbergasting minutes and creates an atmospheric trance.

Grandiose accomplishment. .

About the video: Depicted in arresting black and white, the wooded mountain terrain becomes an important dramatic counterpart for the music, as the camera — led by Máté Szombath, the video’s cinematographer — glides past sparsely leafed trees, revealing a depth that allows viewers to better perceive the expanse of the forest surrounding the band.

Get puzzled here…
