Nile Gregory Rodgers Jr. was born in NYC on 19 September 1952. Happy 70 to a great musician/composer/producer who will be best known as the co-founder of soul/disco/funk collective Chic (1972–1983, 1990–1992, 1996–present) and their monster hit Le Freak.

Chic released 9 studio LPs of which It’s About Time (2018) is the most recent one. Solo, Rogers only made 2 longplayers, but he played on countless records of others and on all sorts of soundtracks. Le Freak is still very alive and very kickin’. Good Times indeed.
