Milwaukee‘s infamous rock heroes VIOLENT FEMMES (1979–1987,
1988–2009, 2013–present) celebrate the 40th anniversary of their
splendid eponymous debut album on April 13.

The three femmes, guitarist and vocalist Gordon Gano, bassist and
backing vocalist Brian Ritchie, multi-instrumentalist Blaise Garza, and
drummer John Sparrow are gearing up to play the classic record in full
in May in North American cities.

Wait, don’t go yet, here’s more news. On Record Store Day, 22 April,
the album will receive a brand-new picture-disc vinyl edition. Craft
Recordings is pressing 3,000 copies of the record in the US.
